Always quiet in reunions, this normal???

When I go to family reunions, even though i'm nearly 30 i'm still the kid of the bunch, and there aren't many people my age at them, either. So I don't do a lot of talking. I'll chime in now and then, but other than that i'm pretty quiet, too. It also depends on how your family is - do they talk a lot and involve you, or do they treat you like the kid and exclude you from the adult conversations?

I don't think it's something you need help for, and pretty normal. Again, unless your family is the type to include you in everything and you just shy out of it...

Yes my parents do talk a lot, esp. my mother and well I can join in if I want to but it just feels soo awkard and I tend to shy out. Plus the conversation isn't really my interest.

So what would your reponse be like if it was something that interested you? Would you involve yourself in the convo?
