To the girls out there. How do you stop a guy from fighting?

Kind of a question I was thinking about. Most any comment my previous partners has said to me to try and stop me from getting fighting someone has provoked me into wanting me to fight them more. Mostly these comments are along the lines of, "It's okay, you don't have to fight him." or, "I don't want you to get hurt." Stuff like that just feels belittling and makes my ego flare like a fool. And the sad part is that when I'm alone I get people who pick fights with me and I could care less about them. I just walk away.

 

 

 

P.s. the last part is mostly because I am a night jogger and you run into that stuff kinda a lot in my neighborhood.

 

 

What do you think would be the right thing to say to a guy who you actually did not want to get into a fight with another?

You just shouldn't fight when you're with your woman. It puts them in danger, actually.

 

Not to say I haven't been guilty of this though - being told 'I don't want you to get hurt' makes me especially want to go through with the fight as it insults my ego.

 

Best thing to do is just walk away. Without a word. No matter how ego bruising that is.

Really not the answers I was looking for. Basically what I got out of everyone's responses are that all women everywhere will make these ego bruising comments no matter what and that I just need to learn to deal with it. Does that sound like what the majority here believes?

 

 

I was so hoping to find a woman who knew how to make non-ego bruising comments and still say basically the same thing. "Hey please don't fight."
