Ever had this happen?

I used to be a fantastic writer; so great were my short stories and poetry that I was labelled an artistic by all those I cared about.

Now, something has been happening that I can't account for; I've been ROYALLY screwing up everything that I've been writing lately - even status updates on facebook and messages on MSN messenger. I'm frequently making mistakes, forgetting certain conjunctive words (to, from, a, is, etc) and - this formerly was a big no no - SPELLING WORDS INCORRECTLY.

This never used to happen - NEVER. I was told before this lapse in technical skill that I was a good writer and writing was usually impeccable and energetic. Now, whenever I type something, even a line or two, I screw it up and by missing a word or mispelling something or something else that any seasoned writer would find inexusable.

What the HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?

Have you been getting enough rest lately?
Not until recently, no. I've actually deprived myself of sleep since the beginning of the semester.

Good nutrition?
Unless nutritional supplements count: No. Also, for some reason, I've been eating a lot of meat over the last couple of months. I usually only ate seafood; sushi was my favorite.

Adequate exercise?

Virtually none, actually.

Sorry if I sound like a mom or a doctor, just trying to help.

I wouldn't worry about it. I need to figure out what's going on. For a while now, I just thought I was stupid person working under the pretense of intelligence and I've found that this little problem is crushing my confidence in myself.

My suggestion is to correct the ways in which you aren't taking good care of yourself and see if the problem disappears on it's own. Also drink plenty of water every day, very important.

Come back and let us know how you're doing in two weeks. If your symptoms get worse, see a doctor immediately.
