I met a girl through a mutual friend about a year ago and she confessed her love towards me shortly after. At that time, I wasn't interested at all so I told her nicely. Each time I say no to a girl, they take it badly and cut contact with me completely but this girl has been a wonderful friend throughout the past year which I am very grateful of. The sad twist to the story is that I have recently developed a strong liking towards her. Whenever I sit down and have nothing to do, my mind inevitably wanders and I find myself imagining her =] it's stupid, I know. One year on and she is now beautiful, funny and going to the same university as I am currently at. I can sense that she still has feelings for me due to body language and the way she treats me differently from other guys. Furthermore, she makes vague comments from time to time like "you are so hard to read" and "Well, I'm not attracted to you". In actual fact, I find her impossible to read and interpret. Logically speaking, we should be together since many guys have asked her out and many girls have done so towards me. But love isn't logical. Uh huh. I feel really annoyed at myself now for being like this. Normally I force myself to speak to many girls/date several as to prevent myself from obsessing over one girl but I haven't done so in the past week. I can't even bring myself to do so since I can't rid this girl off my mind. What do all the girls think? Does she still like me? Do I still have a chance? What should I do? Should I ask her out ASAP? Should I ask her out on Valentines Day? Should I wait until she enters university before acting? Or should I express my feelings and see how she responds? Oops, I got a bit carried away there... forever1130 Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 Since you two have been friends for the past year now, I don't see anything wrong with just asking her to hang out. Then see how she acts around you. If she seems flirty and into you then go for it and ask her out on a real "date". My advice is just take it slow and try talking to her about it. "C'mon just admit it, you know you still like me" something like that, kinda playful and joking but at the same time she might just give you the answer to all your questions. And as for setting a date like valentines day to ask her out, I wouldn't do that... Its too overdone and by that time she might have a bf so just play it by ear and go with the flow.
