Hope75
Hey All, Hubby and I had our first midwife appt. today and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was a strong 160BPM and our midwife told us that it's a good prognostic indicator that the pregnancy will continue. We have our first ultrasound in 2 weeks, I'll be 11 weeks on Thursday. It was so wild hearing that little heartbeat in my belly, there really is someone in there making me feel like crap! It was the best Christmas present we could ask for. Link to comment
metrogirl
Awww how sweet.... I remember when I heard the heartbeat the first time, it sounded like a horse galloping. Just think, as the baby gets bigger it's going to get louder and louder. I'm so happy for you....This is such a blessing. Link to comment
Catdancer
Awesome!!!! IN my first trimester, I remember constantly thinking.."am I really pregnant??..is this for real??" You cant feel the baby move yet, and you dont have a bump, so hearing that little heartbeat brought tears to my eyes. He is real!!! He's really in there!! I remember being so shocked and in awe and wanting to listen to it all day!!! Link to comment

Can't wait to see him or her! Link to comment
Catdancer
Just wait until you see him/her for the first time! I still cant wait to see my son everytime we have one scheduled. I had one at 19 weeks, one today at 27 and another in another month. At the 5 month one my son was within 3 days of his due date, meaning that he was right on schedule growth-wise. Today though, he's 2 weeks ahead of schedule. So now the debate is on as to whether he will be a "big" baby or not. 7 pounds sounds alot easier to push through my hoo-hoo than 9 pounds!!! Hehe, we wonder about that too. I am 5'10", my husband is 6'4" and my father is 6'8" so we might be looking at a big baby here. My midwife looked at my husband and said, "He's kind of a big guy so we'll have to see!" Link to comment
