broken up bitterness

My ex texts me sometimes and they are strictly friendly in nature...i think she is just being nice and making amends. She has another man now. (We had been together for 3 years and now broken up for 5 months)

 

I know she is at the front of the whole break up train and I am still in the caboose sometimes so it's hard for me. I'm still dealing with bitterness and hurt and a whole slew of emotions. I'm afraid that my responses carry the wrong motives and I haven't fully accepted the break up.

 

What should I do? I know she will text me again or maybe I will run into her sometime and I will not be prepared. help?

Don't respond to her texts. If you run into her, make sure you have a smile on your face and your head is held high. She'll be sorely surprised.

She broke up with you, you don't owe her any explaination what so ever, and you don't owe her any reasons for not responding.

I think the best thing to do would be to tell her that for now you need some space from her.
