Post Break-Up Songs

Hey all,

17 myself, and my gf just left me pretty much. I have no friends. This is all I can do is listen to music haha...and play guitar. But whatever! This music is keepin' me going.

Just wondering what you guys all listen to...if you've been the one dumped or if you dumped. I feel it really helps me...and keeps me going .

 

I guess it is also the easiest way for me to heal; see how I guess how other people went through it... ( Except for Kurt, Courtney killed him! ).

 

Maybe introduce others to songs too!

If you want to give reasons why, or throw in some lyrics, go for it.

 

1. Audioslave - What You Are, Like A Stone, Nothing Left But To Say Goodbye Audioslave, Revelations

I guess if you haven't heard this song before, it's great and has a relative meaning right on. If you can't understand him...you should...link removed I s'pose. I like this band a lot personally... Hell. Buy all 3 of their albums and listen to them all. I like every one of their songs.

 

2. Nirvana - All Apologies, Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle, On A Plain, Dumb, Rape Me, Serve the Servants, Very Ape (?), Man Who Sold the World, and About A Girl.

I'd say listen to the 'Unplugged' versions, I like those more myself. I just like Nirvana too, I probably listen to all these songs everyday. One saturday I just walked around for hours outside with my ipod on...some kid asked if I was selling drugs or something >_>

 

3. 30 Seconds to Mars - I'll Attack

I don't listen to this band often myself, but I do like this song. Lyrics are nice, and kind of describe my break-up I guess.

 

4. Hoobastank - Running Away, The Reason, Same Direction, Crawling in the Dark,

Good songs...and you know...relationship stuff...

 

5. Blink 182 - Adam's Song

May not be the best song if you're too depressed...

7. The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979, Zero, Tonight Tonight

"Believe in me, like I believed in you!", I like the Smashing Pumpkins...I like the Grunge scene in general.

 

8. Tool - Schism

Haha, if you don't like weird stuff, don't watch the video to the song or it might ruin it for you.

 

9. Alkaline Trio - Private Eye

Good beat and lyrics, imo, "I won't have to quit doing * * * * ed up * * * * for anyone but me",

Sum 41 - Pieces is such a great song... I use to love listening to music to help me get a feeling for where my emotions were at... but I haven't really been able to handle it since my ex attempted suicide...
