Has anyone ever given up a baby for adoption or thought about it and decided not too? If so what went through your mind, and what were your reasons for deciding to do it/not do it?

My mum was adopted. Her mother was too young to keep her and back then, it was illegal to have babies unless you were married. Or something like that.

I think for young teen moms or people who are just not ready or don't believe in abortion or want their baby to have a better life. I mean a young female no education or just starting out, no savings, not in a stable relationship or maybe in one but not married and they'll get looked at? I mean there are many reasons, but I think adoption could be good because it gives a baby a better chance to have a better life. I mean couples who really want a baby and have everything ready, the financial means and have a loving home etc. Young females who have accidental pregnancies can do it, but they just don't know how hard it is. My opinion its better to have the baby in a home where it can be spoiled and not in a struggled environment.

My friend gave her son up for adoption about 10 years ago, I wrote about it here:

 

 

 

It has been very difficult for her, although he is doing quite well.
