Rose21
Tonight me and my boyfriend saw the new Will Smith movie, 7 lbs. Although my boyfriend figured out what was going to happen the first minute of the movie and spoiled it, it was Brilliant! This movie is oscar worthy. This is by far one of the very few movies I have ever cried at in theaters, the only other being the Passion of the Christ. I supressed myself so I wasn't bawling, but tears were running down my face nonetheless and even my boyfriend's! I've never seen that. Nearly all of the theater was crying. It touched me profoundly. Although It was really sad, and somewhat depressing (I compare it to, in a way, Passion of the Christ because you know what will happen from the beginning, but the journey of the movie and the heartfelt message is profound and you enjoy it nonetheless) Will Smith is an amazing actor, and I admit I saw the movie without even knowing what it was really about (the preview were really vague, I had no clue) And I saw it JUST because of Will Smith. But he turned out an amazing performance once again. It was a heartfelt touching movie, and although those of us who have a heart will most likely be crying throughout, it was a great movie worth seeing. It makes you appreciate life more, and after the movie everyone was walking out holding hands. It wasn't all gloomy throughout, there was comedy, and you could hear the whole theater laughing. But it's a drama for a reason, and it was profound. I strongly reccomend this to people! Sorry for the review, just thought like sharing. It touched me greatly, and I had to text all of my friends about it aswell. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile. Link to comment

Rose21
Even if it's depressing, it was still a great movie. Alot of people gave it really good reviews, some really bad ones. But it's just because they don;t understand sacrifice, how truly messed up our world can be. I think it was for a good cause. I wish it had a less depressing ending, but I still enjoyed the movie. JeckyllNHyde
I hate sad movies or movies which make me think too much. I like being entertained (in a happy way. - So sadly I will try and avoid seeing a movie which will make me just bawl.. Most people however would love this movie if it's thought ptovoking, etc and sentimental. Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
definitely not his best movie.. I think we can all agree that "Prince of Bel-air" was by far Will Smith's best work. Simply brilliant. Link to comment

Its got noting to do with 'not knowing messed up the world is' at all, they just didnt like it. Incidentally neither did I really. Give me the Fresh Prince!
