Negative pregnany test- bleeding today!

I had my implant taken out on the 25th November and before it was taken out my periods had run like clockwork up until October, although they lasted between 10 and 14 days (i was expecting a period around the time the implant was taken out).

My partner and I have been having unprotected sex since the implant was taken out. I did a pregnancy test yesterday as i still havent come on my period and it came back negative. Today i have started to experience some bleeding. It started off bright red and this evening its gone really dark brown and quite light.

Do you think this could be implantation bleeding? I've read about this on the internet, but seeing as i did a pregnancy test yesterday wouldnt it come up as positive first before i started experiencing bleeding?

I think your body may need to adjust a bit after the implant is out (I have a Mirena myself, what about you?), but theoretically you could even get pregnant from semen that is still in your body on the day that you have it removed (that is what my leaflet says, to warn a person who switches from IUD to the pill that isn't directly effective).

The test is negative, I'd just wait and see what happens and have another test in a week or so? I know, I would be as impatient as you once we'd try to get pregnant.

I think what i had in was called Implanon, i didnt like it though. It made me terribly moody, i put on weight (1stone over the year, which i have now lost), i didnt feel like having sex much and i was constantly bleeding or spotting. Having it removed was the best thing ive done. I feel normal again now its been taken out.

I think we've had unprotected sex about 10 times since its been removed, the latest time was Monday evening, so i dont know when to take the next test.

Yeah i do want to get pregnant x

Well that can take a few months, of course. Are you on prenatal vitamins? Give yourself some time!

For future reference, when not trying to get pregnant, I can really recommend Mirena. I don't have periods at all in fact, the thing works locally though so no hormones messing up my complete system.
