greywolf
What's the risk for two women to get an STD from each other if you don't use toys? Seriously, I am really paranoid so I feel like I'll probably never have sex again. Link to comment
doyathink
I hear ya. It's a mad world out there now days. You can still catch it through oral, but from what I've read...it's not as easy to get that way. HPV of course is pretty easy to get tho, along with herpes. Link to comment
kaoticbaby
there is a vaccine against HPV now, you could look into that. but unfortunately there is still so much more out there (well, obviously!) there's not much you could do as far as protection, though, huh? Link to comment
lady00
The risk is still there. I mean, I don't know if will make much difference to you, but the risk is much lower than with a sexual relationship a man and a woman or between two men. Generally speaking, of course. But I mean, I guess that's not really comforting to know that relative to other types of relationships, there is less of a risk because in the absolute sense, there is still a risk. Link to comment

They do have dental dams... but I don't think it protects from herpes. Link to comment

(not saying you shouldn't use protection but i just don't get dental dams!) Link to comment

What if I'm with some chick someday and I bring one out and she's like, What the hell is that?? And secondly, does it even feel good with one? Link to comment

And secondly, does it even feel good with one? ive never tried it but i'd imagine not as much. i mean half the amazingness (i make my own words) of oral is the warmth... can you feel it through that?? idk i think it would seem a little paranoid to whip out a dental dam. if a guy did that to me i'd be like Link to comment

kaoticbaby
the only good thing is.. like other posters said... it is slightly less likely to get an STD than if you were with a man. also, it is easier to tell if a woman has an std than if a man does (of course, you can never tell about HIV, though.) I'm mostly worried about herpes, I guess. yeah. i think they say it is very unlikely unless you have a cut in your mouth, if i'm not mistaken?? herpes would be a big concern of mine as well. but luckily it is easier to tel if a girl has it than if a guy does (and what girl would let someone go down on her knowing she is having an outbreak, anyway...?) unfortunately there is that whole window period, where you can still transmit the virus even if you're not having an outbreak. wow now i'm getting paranoid. greywolf
Dental clam? What is that? dental dam It's like this plastic thing that you put on a woman's private parts for oral sex. Link to comment
redhearts
Men should use that too. Its like when they say if someone licks a butt hole they should use seran wrap. Link to comment
Nkaleidoscopic
Low-risk activities for lesbian sex Masturbation (only touching yourself) Cybersex Nipple and breast stimulation when not lactating Erotic massage Body rubbing Kissing Using a sex toy with a condom (be sure to use a new condom if sharing sex toys) Cunnilingus (oral sex) with a barrier, such as a glove, dental dam or plastic wrap Vaginal or anal contact with a latex glove link removed If you're having oral sex use a dental dam or another latex barrier, such as a unlubricated condom cut down the middle. A dental dam is a square piece of latex about five inches on each side available at dental and medical supply stores. And since it can be hard to find dental and medical supply stores, you can also use plastic wrap, available at your local grocery store. If you're having oral sex with a guy, be sure to use an unlubricated condom. link removed Link to comment
Honey Pumpkin
Pretty much non-existent. Safest sex there is. I suppose herpes might be a possibility, but very low risk compared with heterosexual sex or male/male sex. Link to comment
