Hello Everyone,

I am newly single (only since end of August), I am probably going to go out with this guy in a few days. We messaged each other (not here) and after he takes care of some things, we are going to talk. He wants us to go out. I am not shy, not by any means. But, I feel myself getting nervous already. I dont want to meet him and then clam up. I would actually love to date him. He seems like a nice guy. I am a bit hesitant, but I am willing to give it a shot.

Take some deep breaths before you walk into the place or have a glass of wine before you leave your house. I used to get very nervous about people I met online and while it only lasted the first minute to three minutes...it was nerve-wracking!

what is 'taking care of' before you get together? Another relationship?

Ok, please someone calm me down! lol. I am meeting him tonight after work. Totally thinking he is going to change my mind or stand me up. I have no idea why I think this, I just do. We last talked last night when he said where we would meet. Now, I am thinking he is going to change his mind about me and not show up. He was the one that said what day and initiated everything. Any ideas?

Hey Vanessa,

relax, and try to get your mind busy with something else while you are waiting for the time to come. As for your fear he might cancel, the only thing I can say is I surely would not cancel a date I went through the trouble (not that it is painful but I'm quite shy) to initiate and plan. You don't have any evidence he is not interested in going out with you, try thinking about something else like I said, or if it is too difficult what you could do is to think how nice a time you're going to have

Last but not least, good luck!!

Jerome.
