waveseer
As I get older it matters less and less. About the time it doesn't matter at all I'll be done with needing them. Link to comment
Pappers
The other day I noticed a couple at the checkout in a grocery store. The man was paying and the woman had wondered off a little. The last item was a huge mega box of tampons and he looked a little sheepish, but also in some way defiant "hey everyone I'm buying tampons!". What was interesting however, was how the woman acted when she came back to the till. She made it VERY obvious that he was taken. She kept touching his back, and then went and moved the box of tampons around on the checkout line making sure everyone in the queue noticed. He just stood there waiting to pay and was looking annoyed with her. So what worthy to note here? Well in some way this totally looked like she was STAKING her territory and telling other women (me) that she was with him. I thought the whole thing looked pretty stupid and she came accross as insecure. I always buy my own tampons - and would never ask a bf or husband to buy them for me. Some things are best kept to oneself. Plus you should know when you're about to run out, it's like toilet paper. I've always thotught that the guy buying this stuff is like a "you're taken" exercise. Pappers
My boyfriend (ex boyfriend perhaps, see my thread if you feel like dishing out any advice!) did this for me once by his own choice, and it was pretty hilarious. He's Japanese and was asking in the middle of the night through a shop window as they had closed the actual shop. The guy he was talking to was also foreign and had no idea what "tampons" were. There was a line of people behind him too, and he had to say something like "you know, like, when a girl gets that thing, once a month, you know, like" and it took the other guy ages to figure out what he was talking about while the queue of people behind him were just feeling so sorry! I'm actually laughing as I write this, he was so sweet. hahahah that's hilarious! what a sweet guy! : ) He probably loved doing that for you.... like a chivalrous thing - he was proud to do it! ignore all my other ramblings... sometimes things are just more simple than they are complicated!! sg84
I can't believe she'd do that. Thats not normal. What girl doesn't have an ample supply of stuff? Thats just plain lazy. Link to comment
lady00
Just be glad that you don't have to deal with getting a period yourself! Look on the bright side. Periods are awful. I'm bloated, uncomfortable, and always worried about leaks. It's really no fun. Link to comment
Maya_A
If it were offered that is one thing but I wouldn't ask for mine to be bought either... I do realize that it makes some men uncomfortable. And I don't think there are any "should not feel this way's"... If someone is uncomfortable for their own reasons then they are. Any single woman would always need to buy her own so I don't see why she can't continue when in a relationship... Link to comment
redhearts
At least they don't have a whole store dedicated to just tampons and pads. That be worse. But you should always keep some in stock just like toilet paper. Link to comment
shemo
I've never asked a bf to buy my tampons but that's cuz I always make sure I'm supplied. Besides... he'd probably get the wrong ones! Link to comment

That is something I wondered, if the girl is out of them, HOW would the guy know exactly which brand to get. There are so many and different kinds in the brands. Its so confusing! LOL Link to comment
Case_1983
Why not suggest buying a large supply next time the 2 of you are at the shops? Link to comment
secretness87
Yeah I wouldn't make my boyfriend buy me pads. I wouldn't feel comfortable asking him lol, and I always have a good supply at home so no need hehe Link to comment
lost1607307474
I've never asked my partner to go and buy me tampons. If I urgently need some I'd go get them myself. Link to comment
