Carrot Juice...wow oh wow

Recommended Posts

I had started drinking one to two bottles of pure carrot juice daily for the past few months and I tell you tonight I noticed my skin is more clear, soft, firmer, glows...then I looked at my eyelashes and boy they are longer, thicker, and darker, my hair grows faster (it's to my knees anyway) and my fingernails are growing so fast it's unbelievable.

Heck I am 44 years old and since I started drinking carrot juice daily I have more strength, stamina and feel better than I did when I was 24........all I have to say is wow!

The brand of carrot juice I am drinking is called Odwalla, and in each 16oz bottle they squeeze 1lb of carrots...heck that is alot of carrots...Once I move into my new apartment I am going to use my new juicer to make all kinds of juices.

I went to this authentic Mexican restaurant and bought this drink (cannot for the life of me remember the name of it), but it has carrots, beets, celery, pineapple, and one other ingredient that I cannot think of at the moment...that was an awesome drink...then I started drinking strawberry smoothies, with honey, and a little protein powder, and strawberry yogurt for consistency....man oh man talk about tasty and healthy too.

I am not joking...are you telling me that if a person eats and drinks the proper things they can't look better or feel healthier??? guess you had better ask the people in Okinawa why they are the longest living people on the planet.

It's okay if you don't believe me...I can tell the difference and that is all that matters!

I thought if you eat too many carrots your skin gets a slightly orange tinge...or is that an urban myth?

My aunt did. LOL.

Anything in excess is not good for you. Yes, even carrots.

What ever happened to the 'food pyramid' that we were taught in school? Why all the crazy protein only diets, the no carb diets, the carrot only diets?

I've seen it happen.

About carrot juice, I'm not sure about it making you live longer but it sure tastes heavenly. The best is when you make it yourself with a vegetable juicer. So sweet and delicious!

It can, but I don't over do it...I think 1 or 2 16oz bottles a day is sufficient...I mean in all honesty, it seems to give my skin a nice glow and seems to be my skin is much more clear than before....perhaps I was not getting enough beta carotene.

I feel myself stronger than I probably ever have and also I can run longer distances and don't tire like before.

It takes some getting used to when you first start drinking it, but you acquire a taste for it after awhile.

Diets like that have been around for a long time.

As long as you dont combine food A and B you'll be healthy, never mix peanuts and milk.

"High diets", like high protein diets have been popular for a while. And low diets of course, as long as you limits your carbs you'll stay thin forever.

The history of dieting is pretty fascinating, and hilarious.

I am a martial artist so it's important for me to eat high protein, low carbs, and eat all natural fruits and veggies..I don't smoke, drink, nor use drugs, no sugar, no refined foods, nor processed. I live an extremely healthy lifestyle....and at 44 years old I have the stamina of a 20 year old....I can run like the wind, sparr with people half my age, and feel and look great!

Good eating habits is not a diet...it's a way of life.

I work in the medical field and study nursing...and I know how to stay healthy....I don't believe in diets! I just do what works for me.

My mom is a big juicer in the morning. Her antioxidant level (I didn't know it could be measured) was so high the doctor said it's equivalent to that of a 10 year old.

I just cannot for the life of me drink what she's drinking though. She's seen so many benefits from better sleep, skin tone (she's almost 60 but look in her late 40's) and hasn't caught a cold in few years. I know I should...I'll end up making it very sweet with apples and mostly fruits though LOL

The food pyramid? LOL. It's just common sense. And what 'scheme' exactly are they running?

Advising people to eat only three times a day and make you believe the food pyramid is a foundation of eating healthy. It's laughable at best. FDA is quite scary, you can think twice about them actually helping you. A quick reading on them including former employees and organization will point out they aren't exactly who you think they are. They've changed the pyramid scheme but they are far from helpful. And let's not go anywhere near how they control (or controlled by) prescription medication. It's all politics & money.
