trincitee
I just get the uncontrollable urge to hate people i don't know in public. and especially if they look weird or just look like an idiot. I remember a week ago, I was in a bookstore and some ugly man looked at me in the line to the checkout. I just felt an uncontrollable feeling of disgust and revulsion and i scowled at him like there was no tomorrow lol. who the heck is he to look at me, i hate it when people like that look at me lol. I don't care really, since i don't know him or care about him. Is such a feeling normal, and if not, then what should I do about it? Link to comment

lana111
not normal. its one thing to get a bad vibe from a stranger from time to time, but nothing like you have stated. Link to comment

g84
Since you don't know them well and they haven't done anything to upset/hurt you, then i believe it has to do with you. Maybe it happens most when you feel more irritable or depressed. When you feel like this, it's best to just take a few seconds to calm yourself down and remember that you don't know the person; also ask yourself if you have a lot of tension that has built up. I don't think you should ever allow yourself to scowl at the person though, because it can hurt someone's feelings a lot or anger them. It's never fun to receive bad looks from ppl It's best to just try and cool down when you get these feelings. Link to comment
arwen
I get these urges when I am in a very low place personally. Sort of 'projective', in fact the random person at that moment represents something I don't like about myself. Would that make sense in your case? Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
why? I have a right to think and feel whatever the hell i want. Negative thoughts like that leads to internal turmoil. Do you really want to be that person that is so angry all the time? Link to comment

Seraphim
Also remember it takes many more muscles to frown than to smile, it takes more energy to be negative than to be happy. And frowning after years creates wrinkles all over your face. Link to comment

trincitee
Negative thoughts like that leads to internal turmoil. why? i think it's quite common. Do you really want to be that person that is so angry all the time? i'm never angry. most people i come accross share my feelings, since whenever we look at weird looking or ugly people who get this feeling. we can't help it, but such is life. No, it is not common. Why are you stating this if you asked if it was common and got a bunch of responses saying it wasn't? Those thoughts are bound to anger. Happy and content people do not think like this. Link to comment
Seraphim
No, I never feel that about people that look different, EVER. Link to comment

trincitee
and you asked if its normal, and its not. normal by what standard? Normal is relative like everything else in life. you are free to do/feel whatever you want though. of course. anybody can do anything. that's not so contentious, is it? Link to comment

g84
If you become so irritated over the fact that someone looks ''odd'' to you or whatever it may be, it's probably because of an issue you have - that you may not realize. Link to comment
