Either way it is still trying to contact them. Why would anyone do such a thing? If you have to make contact with them then at least have some pride and do it yourself. Text and e-mails are okay if you do not care to hear their voice.

That could be for many reasons.

 

Wanting to know that they are still an option

Guilt

Ego Boost

They genuinely want to get back together

Jealousy of a new bf/gf in the pic

 

 

It really depends on why the breakup took place and what kind of person the dumper is.
