Guys or Ladies, what percent of the male population do you think has used escorts?

I am wondering how many men have used prostitutes at least once in their lifetime. Personally I estimate it to be around 15-20%.

 

For the record I never have but I have no issues with men who do, just the ones who are in relationships and do it behind their SO's back.

Interesting question. I think a lot of issue comes up in the back of any guy's mind which will prevent them from going to a prostitute. Putting all those into consideration, my guess is... perhaps 1 out of 20 guys? so 5% also?

Hmmm.... there must be a decent number or they wouldn't be in the pop culture so much. I personally have never known anyone who's admitted to being with a prostitute (guy friends, boyfriends) and most folks I spend time with really aren't the type to consider it, really.

 

I myself have considered a male escort, but only for the "escort" side of things at an event, not any skin. Never went through with it, though, I just went alone.

OP, i'd say a small percentage. less tan 10%. i've never known anybody that used one or ever met an escort....that i know of.

Exactly. That you know of. Not saying your friends would or anything, but I'm thinkin that in the general population of men that isn't the kind of thing people brag about or even admit to. "Hey everyone guess what, I paid for sex!" I don't think we would ever have any real way of knowing how much of the population has or hasn't, because I doubt many people would admit to it.

People use escorts all the time, both men and women, they just see one client at a time unofficially. Happens every day, some even marry their client and have children.

Actually it is much higher in some Asian countries. I heard it is customary for a guy to visit prostitutes in some countries as learning experience. So the number would be very high in such countries.

I personally do not know anyone on my mom's side of the family, or my dad's side of the family who is known to have used prostitutes. I think that my dad may have gone there.

 

I have never been with an escort either, but seem to masturbate on a fleshlight while looking at escort ad pics and use my imagination. IN November 2005 I wanted to try an incall escort service, but aborted because a male person picked up the phone and that scared me off. Since that time I lost interest in any real official movement to see an escort, or lose my virginity with an escort. This is well over three years ago.

 

I used to get off calling escorts on the phone, saying "hi, how are you doing?" and trying to engage them in conversation. Sometimes I'd have an email correspondence with an escort where she's saying that $ 100 would be the best money I could spent in my life if I spend it losing my virginity with her -- and she's really trying to sell a virgin guy into her services and look at that sales effort. This escort owned a bar and did a strip club part-time and put up hardcore porn clips. Some interesting connections. Never pursued it though -- just a phase in memory.

 

So, I think there are some funny escorts out there. I've always been fascinated with this since 1998 when I got the internet, and think that there is no better type of porn than looking at escort ads. I'm not interested in an escort beyond a mental fantasy. If every guy thought like me, they would be out of business overnight.

And i think people would be surprised who actually has paid for sex. there is a common notion that only ugly men who can attract women pay for it, but imo it's a misconception. some men pay for sex since they want no strings sex without any emotional/romantic ties, or don't have the time for a relationship or to find one night stands, and so forth.

 

I feel that if a man wants to pay for sex, then I wouldn't baulk at it, provided that an escort wasn't coerced into the industry. IMO it's little different from a one night stand.

If I had to guess they I would say about 40% of the male population has paid for sex at some time in the past
