Hi,

I'm doing a course that i'm not enjoying....what are peoples thoughts on quitting something?

Ive never quit anything before and am scared of regretting it, worried about telling family and friends etc. But how long can I carry on if i'm hating it and dont think i'll use it when i'm finished as I'm not enjoying it.

Please advise!

How easy is it in your uni (or wherever you're doing the course) to change to a different course?

Is there something else you'd like to study as an alternative? If you change your course as opposed to completely quit your education, your family may be more supportive.

I don't think it'll affect your friends and family.

The only downside to quitting is if it releases you from stress and you get used to solving problems the "quitting" way.

On the other hand, you don't have unlimited time. It's always smart to choose your battle accordingly.

The only class I ever dropped was O Chem. I hated it, didn't "get it" (and I was a science major!), hated the labs, everything about the class was awful to me! I dropped it and have never regretted it. My pride makes me want to go back and finish it someday, though. Maybe. But no, I don't regret it at all.
