Do Women Think About Men the Way We Think About Women?

This is something that I've never been able to wrap my head around regarding women, and has always made them a bit of a mystery to me.

Being a guy, I know how guys think about women on a physical level. And I think most all women know exactly how we lust after their bodies.

But women seem so much different. I think most women naturally accept that men love to see women's naked bodies (breasts, vagina, shapeliness, etc..) It's in our genes - we're programmed to desire them, objectify them on a sexual level, etc.. We get aroused by the sight of a pair of breasts.

Skin mags have always been top sellers (Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, etc.)

But women seem to be programmed much differently. It seems out of the ordinary to see or hear a woman getting turned on by seeing a man's penis. I heard Playgirl just went belly up, and I think most of us suspected that gay guys were probably the biggest subscribers.

So girls and women, tell me how you view the male species as sexual objects (if at all). Is it all about love, relationship, provider, good-father qualities, or do you women ever just lust after the guy's penis? Do you ever find yourself thinking about a guy's penis the way we men think about a woman's breasts and vagina - purely sexual?

I agree with ready2heal...when i am in a relationship with someone i fantasize about his anatomy and the way we are together but to just lust over some random penis...no feelings or face attached...not so much...they ain't that pretty those penises lol

The disembodied penis just doesn't hold the same appeal. lol

I think women definitely do think about men in that way too. It's just that it's not entirely socially acceptable for us to behave the way men do. I love to see a hot body and a big penis, but you won't find me displaying that fact to the world (except among close friends).

Of course, I like to see other good qualities in men too, but attractiveness certainly counts.

Well, how about this? Do any of you ever think it would be cool to have a Playgirl and check a bunch of naked guys out?

I know that there are times I'm in a bookstore, and I see a Playboy in the magazine bin and the cover girl looks so hot, and think "God, I'd love to check out her * * * * , ass, and snatch." It's just a purely lustful interest. I don't wonder what she talks like, or what she read last week, I just want to see her in the nude and admire her beauty.

But, of course, I don't, because people in the bookstore would think I was a pervert, so I just read all the news, music, and writer's mags and try and settle my imagination down.

No, I haven't had that feeling before. I guess I've only really thought about seeing guys I know naked or celebrities (when I was a bit younger).

Eire1, when I was in high school I bought a playgirl once or twice but the thing is the guys weren't hard. It was so dissappointing.

If the guys in the pictures were hard would you have an interest in checking them out - purely out of lustful curiosity?

I don't view men as 'sex objects' and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to be a subscriber of a womans mag full of naked men....lol

For me, it is more than a naked body.....it is all about emotions and how I feel for a certain man...

I could care less about other men, how big their doo dah may be...lol

I'm more interested in the man Im *actually* with, than in a bunch of men I dont know and am never likely to meet, posing naked!

This is what I imagined was likely the way women viewed men - very differently then the way men view women.

Do you think it could be cultural influenced, or do you think it's biological? I guess this is where I get confused about women. Do women look at men (as non-sexual objects) because they were programmed this way by mother nature, or is it because society has always made women feel like they shouldn't and would be judged negatively for it?

How about this? Let's say, you were sitting around at a female friend's house and she was in the bathroom and you noticed a Playgirl with a good looking guy on the cover laying on the coffee table. Would you flip through it and check out his package, or would the thought never even come into your mind?

Men are more 'visual' than women.....that is why men view porn and generally more than women do. The sight of naked flesh turns men on....a bit of cleavage/or showing a leg, can even turn a man on...

Women are more stimulated by the size of a mans wallet and his bank balance....his posistion in authority....LMAO!

I wonder if it's because us men have been getting sneak peaks at 'R' rated movies for eternity, but women never grew up seeing men in that same sexual-object kind of way. Maybe they thereforee viewed men differently and less lustful from a body part angle?

I'm just trying to better understand women, I guess ...

I would take a look, even if it was just for laughs. I would also be very curious as to why she had a playgirl mag.

I don't think it would cross my mind because I'm not interested in what 'unavailable' men may have/or may not have.

The 'only' man who is able to turn me on, is a man with whom I was in a relationship...and it would be too him I looked for satisfaction, not a mag...

i don't really think that's true. i think we're all very visual. i just think men can look at nakedness and get off easier than we can (we use our minds or touch more i believe).

i'd get turned on looking at a hot male body, with a hot face, on models and athletes, etc. probably not as intense as men do women's bodies, however, but just the penis does not turn me on (only with the person i'm with).

Women are individuals and even within one woman there are variations by day or time of the month or stage of life. All that matters is how the woman you like feels right now.

I think this is why I'm so confused about women. The woman I'm with has never really displayed any signs of lust or appreciation for the male body. I love her dearly, by the way.

I guess I just have never felt like I've understood women on that front. I think it's easier for women, because we men are pretty simple creatures.

She is probably just young. As women get older they often lose some of their inhibitions. This is a natural process partially related to giving birth in front of other people and enduring gyn exams year in and year out. By the time a woman is in her mid thirties she is usually able to be just as appreciative of the male body (as long as it's the male she prefers) as a man is of a woman's body.
