Twiles
New to these forums. Recently had to deal with a difficult loss. Found this poem on the internet. Several websites carry it. It really helped me realize that it's okay to view life differently after a loss of someone close to you. Matter of fact, that's the way it should be. To me, there is comfort in knowing that. And Life Goes On... A flower bursts full of life Flourishes, whithers, then disappears All within the blink of an eye Yet life goes on...always the same A bird enters the world with a song Sings for a few seasons, then vanishes All within the blink of an eye Yet life goes on...always the same A child draws his first breath Learns, grows, then passes away All within the blink of an eye And life goes on...but never the same L. mellybelly
Hello twiles, welcome to ENA! I'm sorry you were brought here under the circumstances you were...I too recently experienced a great loss and it was the reason I found myself here too. Thank you for sharing the poem... You are right, it's definitely okay to think about life differently when you experience a loss...in fact I think if we weren't affected in this way by it, something would be wrong! it serves a purpose...to help us reflect...find meaning that we sometimes don't search for when we are comfortably going along in life... anyways, sending lots of love, melly Link to comment
