That's why it is so important to take it at the same time everyday. Most people who get pregnant while on birth control get pregnant due to not being diligent with the time. Link to comment
ourdeepsleep Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 i once took two in one day as i took my pill, thought i hadn't taken yet, and took it again. i hadn't been on it for awhile, and my body wasn't used to it, and because of that i started menstruating the next day (two weeks early). to be safe, just use condoms/abstain for five days or so. i'm no doctor, but i don't like to play with fate when it comes to sex & birth control. I use backup protection even when I do take my pill perfectly, so I'm not so concerned with that. I don't want my period to come a day early. That would be on my birthday... >.> Link to comment

I have also heard that you can just skip the period week pills (which are sugar pills, right?) and just go on to your next cycle and then have one big period after that. Link to comment
