PsychGirly
I still have all 4 of mine. I'm 21, and they haven't given me any problems until now. They're buried pretty deep, and they're laying sideways, impacting all my other teeth, causing a little overlap of my front teeth. Dentist said they'll have to be surgically extracted, and not just "pulled out". Ugh, I'm dreading having them removed (especially all 4 at once)--not as much for the pain, but because I'll have to take days off work & school. How bad is it? Approximately how many days should I give myself to fully recover? Link to comment
Perfect Dark
Yeah both my top ones. I just had mine out at the dentist, I was perfectly fine after, no pain or anything. Just a lot of tugging. Link to comment

Just a lot of tugging. Ugh, that's the thing. I'm having mine done elsewhere, cuz my dentist said he can't surgically remove. He can only extract (your case), if all it entails is pulling of the teeth. However, mine are deep and laying on their side, so they have to actually anesthetize me and perform the operation. Sounds freakin scary dude lol  Link to comment

Mythical_Suicide
I had all 5 (yes I said 5 I had an extra one) removed at once a couple of months back. Mine were impacted so bad they had to break two of them to get them out and go under my jaw bone to get another out. I was swollen for about a week or so, the third and fourth day after surgery is the absolute worst but it wasn't as bad as most would assume. My biggest problem was just not being able to eat or drink like I wanted. Atleast give yourself those first couple of days they are the worst, once you get over that you will be fine. Believe me it's so much better when they are out too I never realized just how much pain they were causing me. Link to comment

Did they completely knock you out? Or did they just locally anesthetize you? Link to comment

They aren't causing me any pain or uncomfort. I just want to get them done for cosmetic purposes. I don't want my front teeth to crowd up, so I want to get them out right away. Ughh.. Link to comment

McLovin oo7
I have very much similar situation. My dentist is behind me for many years now and finally next Friday I am going for a lil surgery. Mine is twisted so it has to be a surgery. I don’t want to do it but got no option as it is affecting my other teeth. I guess its a very simple procedure. Link to comment
ghost69
it is simple. it's funny when i saw the needle. back then i hated needles. i said to just give me about 15 minutes and i will fall asleep for them. lol. they said no. Link to comment
metrogirl
Mine were impacted. The bottom right one was the most difficult for them to remove. The dentist said he actually had to use a small hammer and another kind of instrument just to get the stupid tooth out! All in all, it wasn't terribly bad. I was probably a little more swollen than most people due to his hammer wielding but I faired ok. LOL Link to comment

Unfortunately, they have to frickin cut into your * * * * with a scalpel and surgically remove it. Sick. I saw a video on youtube of the procedure. I wish I hadn't seen it lol I REALLLLY hope they're gonna knock me out for this. I don't wanna be awake while someone cuts into my gums and uses a hammer and God knows what else to pull out a damn tooth. Link to comment

Smyles
If they have to be surgically removed then, you'll be suctured up and have stitches for a week or two. And you'll probably be sore for a few days, you're not allowed to eat or chew on food unless they're soft like jello, ice cream, and the sorts. I say in two weeks max, you should be back to your normal self. Link to comment
greywolf
My bottom wisdom teeth they pulled out. The top ones they had to cut the gums and extract it. I was fine the next day. I didn't even take my vicodin. Although, from what people have told me that was a very fast recovery time. I just had to be careful with food because it would get stuck inside the holes. hahahah I know someone that took a week to recover. Link to comment

maka56
Hi, I had 4 wisdon teeth, when I reached the age of 22 they began to grow very fast, the two tops where no problem they had plenty of room to grow and stil have them now, the bottom two had no room, they where very painful. I had them taken out by injection in the area, it's a weried feeling all I could feel is pressure of the pullling and twisting but no pain, but it did hurt a bit when the effects wore off, the taste of blood gets very annoying after a while!. I still have one of the tooth here with me now as a souvenir!. Link to comment
