Gratsy
A lot of rich guys were nerds and still are...and have a hard time getting a woman. So I don't know why they assume that. Personally, I think most women want a hot, confident guy that they know other women desire. Money is a desirable thing, but it doesn't overcome very much when it comes to attraction, I don't think. StrawberryYogurt
Women seek security, but I don't think most of them seek a wealthy guy per se. But they do value $$$ much more so then men, that's a fact, research has proven it.

Yeah, but you're 18 wait until your 26 and you've figured out all of the things you can get a man to do for you or buy for you. You'll probably change your mind. Free dinners ect... fancy hotel or some bad restaurant... i dunno which they all seem good to me.

Lionel Hutz
Because some women do want guys with money. As shallow as it sounds, people like that do exist. More than I would like. Just like guys want girls with big boobs. Some dont even care how dumb she is. Same goes for the gold diggers. Old crusty guys with hot girls. It can be said on both ends. It makes sense why women want guys with money, it equals security and insurance that if he has the child it too will be taken care of. Go out and meet a girl, write your number on the back of you latest ATM receipt, yeah the one that shows your account balance. She will call you back if you do in fact have "money." Or if you want someone who does not care dress down and play down your profession.
SapphireNoir10
I'm 26. I don't care if a guy has a lot of money. I don't want a pauper, but I don't care if he has a lot of money either way. As long as he doesnt doss around and spend his days on the sofa, as long as he tries his best to earn some money and something productive. Thats all that matters to me. I'd rather my guy spend his hard earned money on himself. The odd bunch of cheap flowers as a cute sentiment I dont mind.
Perfection
i'm sorry but money makes the world go round. if i see a girl and take her out to a nice vacation spot at a nice beach and put her up at a nice hotel and show her a good time, there are not many that can say no (true story btw)
jettison
Well, they think that way because sometimes it's true. I was dating someone that made about half a mil a year, and I don't even remotely come close to that. She put it in very explicit terms..."We're just not equals." Ummm, yeah. That's for the big new flash. I thought that was kind of understood 4 months ago. Thanks.

There are PLENTY of women that can and will say no to that. You can have all the cash, but if you don't what counts inside then most women could care less about the green. It takes both for most women. They aren't whores after all.

Is that wrong? No. I don't think so. Is it wrong to base a relationship on either of these things. YES.
bulletproof
The reason some guys on this forum think this is because they need something to blame, and/or those are the women they've happened to pursue or come accross. Some women do want men with money. Some guys want women with money, too. Sadly, one of them is my brother. So there you go.

Perfection
what i am trying to say is, the "falling in love" process tends to sort of speed up if the money factor is high. "love" alone is not enough to feed the family and provide them with a comfortable life.

fragmint
' Then they aren't really falling in love....in my honest opinion. ..who are you to say that? money does make relationships flow more smoothly so i agree with imperfection on that. there are so many guys out there that have money that its easy to only want/try to date those guys instead of guys that dont have money. im not saying anything about the personalities of either parties, but im saying that for every poor guy that has great qualities, there will also be a richer guy that has great qualities - so why not go after the richer guy?? seems like a no brainer to me. now clearly if i've already fallen in love with the poor guy then that is a different story. BUT in terms of DATING and still looking for 'the one' - which is what i think this thread's context is in, its definitely easier to go straight for a guy that has that extra cushion in his wallet.
