Ex boyfriend won't stay away..

My first extremely serious boyfriend won't leave me alone. I was 18 and he was 25 when we first started dating. We were best friends and loved each other very much. He was a great boyfriend, he got me my first cell phone, my first car we did everything together. We broke up 3 1/2 years later due to his control problems and jealousy issues and the fact that he refused to move out of his mothers house with me(all while making 50k a year). So I left him. I didnt speak or see him for 8 months, we hung out one night and he told me how much he missed me and loved me and that he couldnt find anyone that he had a connection with like me.. at the end of the night he kissed me.. i didnt feel anything so I knew i could date seriously. 2 months later I met up with an old flame and we've been living together a week after we started dating(now a year and a half). A few weeks after we moved in together I had to contact my ex concerning my car, he asked where I was staying and I told him, he hung up on me. That was in May, in July he texted me about a band we both liked and I asked him why the hell was he texting me? he called me and i told him i didnt want anything to do with him, he practically cried no and i hung up. A week later I found out he knocked up some 21 year old (he was 29 at the time) and was forced to move out of his mothers house. (YAY!! LEAVE ME ALonNNE) well he charged a washer and dryer on a joint account we had together that he was supposed to have canceled, so i once again had to contact him, he apologized and said he would take care of it, later that evening his baby's mama texts me all hostile, i was totally cool with her, cos i dont want her man i want to be left the hell alone. I talked to him a week or so later and I guess she flipped out etc etc and he apologized and paid the balance and i canceled the account. I told him that this was the end I'm happy and want no contact with him and now he has a family to worry about. he agreed. (he also mentioned that he thought about me a lot. whatever, dont care) anywho, i havent had contact with him since like september or october of 07 and his babygirl was born this past april i believe and maybe a couple weeks ago I made my myspace public and in less than 12 hours my ex messaged my best friend(who is on my top friends) and tells her- hey this is soandso I hope you remember me. I was browsing profiles and knew it was you by your picture. How is your son? I have a 5 month old babygirl now and she has made me into a whole different person. You are even more Hot than you were before. I hope you dont hate me." thats not verbatim how it went but very close. He spelled her name wrong and I know he didnt "stumble upon" her since her profile says she is located in a another country lol. And he KNOWS that she's going to say something to me. She asked what should she do I said not to respond. I don't know what to do with this guy, he just wont go away. Do I just not respond at all or do i respond and tell him once again to stay away from me and those in my life?

Can you change your phone number?As others have said don't respond,it might be wise not to make your msn public or just delete the account.
