I want to remove pictures that an ex has sent to an online gallery of me, taken whilst on holiday a few years ago. It is her property and she knows the people that run the site, but I find the pic she put up very compromising.

Unless you signed a disclaimer that these pics shall remain only between you two, then she has every right to post these up on the web.

 

So you can get yourself a hacker and take down her site, but other than that your only chance is to ask her nicely.

I'd be careful. If you are not on speaking terms and you tell her that you want the picture removed, she may leave it up to spite you.

Go directly to the site management and ask for it to be removed. They might not do it but if you plead your case in a fair manner they might.

 

I have managed some forums in the past and people have put up pics of others without their permission and i removed them if asked. Sometimes i removed them even if not asked if they were put up in an attempt to humilate someone. Sure she owns the photo rights but most sites do not want pics up of people w/out their permission and will remove them.

Are they pics of you, or her? If they are of you, but they are her property, there is not much you can do. I like the advice of asking her to remove them nicely. You never know.

Hi, I have got in touch with the ex to try to make friends with her and find out why she needs to do this to me. I've had a a muted response yet butI am hopeful that I can resolve this. As I want to be friends with her at least.
