Mr.Mister
Well, I've been broken up with my ex for a few months now and I figure it's probably about time I moved on. But, I don't really know what to do. haha. I guess a lot of people meet potential SOs at school, so, since I am in college right now, I'm thinking about talking to a girl in one of my classes. The problem is, the girl I want to talk to sits on the other side of the room and I'm not sure how to approach her. Would it be weird to walk up next to her and talk to her as she is leaving for her car or to another class? Or should I try to get in her group during class or something? I don't even know her name so I don't even know what to say. How do you approach the opposite sex before/during/after class? Hopefully that makes sense. Link to comment
bijoux27
How do you approach the opposite sex before/during/after class? Hopefully that makes sense. I would say something either before class begins, or during a class break. Usually people have to run and do something right after class so you might not be able to talk to her much. But at least that way you will make yourself known to her. So when you talk to her, say some kind of comment about the prof/class/anything that seems to fit in the situation. Make it a little lighthearted to start off. Then you can ask her what program she is in or any kind of small talk. If she responds well then you can suggest being in the same group or studying together or hanging out. Link to comment
ljoy74
I'd be honored if a cute guy from accross the room came and sat next to me in class I recently broke up with my ex to and I'm trying to move on to. It would be great for a guy to make the first move. Just be yourself and catch her in class. You don't want her to think you're stalking her all the way to her car! Link to comment
Phaser
Can't you just sit with her next time? Or must people sit in the exact same spot everytime? Link to comment
Mr.Mister
Everyone sits in the same spot, and it's not a very big class, so they would know something was up as soon as I sat down somewhere else. I'm very shy and I would be so embarrassed if everyone was looking at me like "what is he doing over here?" We don't have breaks in my classes, and everyone gets there just before class so there's not much time to talk. I'm 24 and I'm like a little kid when it comes to talking to girls. I wish it wasn't so hard. haha. Link to comment
Phaser
Could you turn up 'late' and have to sit there? Link to comment
AuthenticAuthor
Heh. For a full year I once decided to just sit in random seats in every class, every day. Believe me, people will notice you for that. In this case, don't sit next to her right away. Randomly pick seats for month, and when you sit next to her eventually, she might not think you're as predictable as the rest of the class, and that might just make you more interesting to her. Just a thought. Link to comment
Mr.Mister
I found out today that she's married. So, I've decided to grow some balls and ask out an Asian girl. I've wanted to date an Asian girl since I was 13 and decided they were the most attractive. Too bad my friends don't think so. Screw my friends! haha. There is one Asian girl at my school, in particular, I've seen a couple of times that I think is gorgeous. A lot of the Asian girls I've met here are not only good looking but really nice too! If I see the girl again, I'm gonna introduce myself and ask her out. Wish me luck! haha Link to comment
schaser
Ask her how she finds the class, how easy she finds assignments, what other classes she is doing, etc. and go from there. And good luck with the Asian girl! Link to comment
