What kind of haircut should I get?

For years I've struggled with getting a good hairstyle. I think it may have been a large contributor to my inability to get a date during college. I have thick but unruly mass of hair. It tends to vary between wavy and straight.

It also probably has something to do with my oddly shaped head, to which my weight gain helped contribute. Maybe one day my jawline will appear again

I've given up trying to grow it out, though, it only turns into a mullet, maybe I need a new hair stylist, cause I still have a little one going.

 

But anyway, here's what I look like today. Ingoring my unshavenness, what hairstyle goes well with a pear shaped head?

99 you remind me of an elvis impersonator for some reason. Not to be mean but something that leaves you with attention on the hair. I was actually thinking of cutting my hair they have these sites where you can upload your pic and try different hair styles on lol.

If you lose the sideburns, the 99 one compliments your face shape.

I like the 99....cut your sideburns halfway off....and cut the top a bit shorter and wear messy.

I would say shave all of the facial hair because I think you would look a lot better without it. If you were to stay with long hair I would keep it only as long as just above your ears. Or if you want to go for a somewhat shorter look I think it would look good on you to have it shorter and spiked. Just a few ideas there. And I agree with the others about the sideburns. Not a big sideburn fan

I like your hair, both styles I think it looks nice. I doubt it's why you didn't get a date, has to be personality, your lack of courage, something. Okay 3rd picture, yuck. Now I see why. You look so unkempt.

Short hair looks good on you but not with thick sideburns. I think you should go to a barber and see what they say, they deal with men's hair everyday and would probably suggest something nice.

I like the 1999 hairstyle, but shorter sideburns. Also the hair is really tall...can you make it lower? What about a shave on your head but with a little length? Can't think of anyone to compare it to but I'm picturing you with it and it'd look good I think (like that helps!).

 

No goatee--they're sort of outdone as others pointed out. Some nice face stubble is good though--the messy stubble.

No, PLEASE keep the facial hair. I think it works for you. Besides, I just think all men look better with AT LEAST stubble growin' on their chops!

I think the 99 style is the best,with shorter sideburns.I don't think your hairstyle is the reason you aren't getting dates though.I see guys who look like you with girlfriends all the time,so it is another reason you are shy,aren't asking out enough women or just not in a good environment for meeting a woman .

The reason why you aren't getting girlfriends is because you seem to have some kind of self-loathing going on. Not trying to offend you but you come off as hostile torwards yourself. I have met guys who are far worse looking (actually ugly to be honest) unintelligent, obnoxious and without any kind of economic future get hot girls. But they pretend to have something to give.

 

You undermine what much more you probably have to give by giving off the attitude by pretending that you "dont have anything to give".

 

 

You don't have to be a player to sell yourself (and that doesn't mean bragging, giving many compliments, sucking up or acting like you have a giant ego).

i'd say go back towards 99. your jawline will be more prominant once you shave that beard thing off. also, hit the gym or do some cardio somehow and chew a lot of gum. it will make your jawline jump back out.

 

for the hair, i'd say cut it short and put something in it. get a fade, trim the top and slap some gel in there and play with it. find something you like.
