Abbygail
My boyfriend and I are both going to college in the same area, but the college he's going to doesn't have programs for the thing I want to study. I was basically just wondering if going to two different colleges puts a strain on relationships? We haven't been dating for very long - we met during our year off so it's not a case of surviving going from highschool to college. Link to comment
Roasted Carrots
As long as you make time for each other, sure. I'm proud of you for going to a college based on what YOU need, not on where your SO is going. You say they're both in the same area, which is good. You can attend each other's sporting events, spend time together on weekends, maybe a few weeknights. Just make sure you carve out time for studying. If you can study together, by all means use that as another way to spend time together. My SO lives on campus, whereas I commute from home. So we go to the same college, but live 25-40 min away, depending on traffic. We make it work! You just have to make time for each other, and for school Link to comment
