CoCo2009
You know what I mean. Like I should be in a career and have a family...or things should be settled because I'm getting old. I need to grow up. I feel like I'm not growing up at all. Anyone else feel this way? Link to comment
metrogirl
Are you taking any steps to get into a career? And btw, 27 is not old. Link to comment
shes2smart
Not sure where you got the idea that you should have things together by now, but you might want to start questioning that idea. I'm in my mid-40's and earlier this year I got downsized from an industry I'd been working in for 25 years. All I know at this point is I don't want to work in that industry anymore, so I'm doing a basic, entry level office job...part time...until I can figure out what I want to do with the 2nd half of my life. As for non-work life...well...I didn't get married until I was 38. So, my point is, there is no specific age that we have to have things figured out and set in either a personal or career sense. In fact, I think if we're doing it right (meaning we are learning and growing from the day we draw our first breath until the day we exhale our last), our life is a continual "work in progress." rocio
No, not at all. Don't feel pressured to force something that's not happening naturally. Why do you feel that you're not growing up at all? Have you learned and expanded and grown as an individual in the last couple of years? If not, then maybe you need to change something. Seraphim
You are not old. I was just leaving University at that age. Now that I am in my 40;s and finally know and understand myself I feel it is time for my life to start...lol Link to comment
Crush85
You're still young. My brother is 31 (with wife and kids) and he finally found out what he truly wants to do in life. He's gone back to school full-time and his wife is in total support of him. I think it's great and it shows that it's never too late. That's the way you need to look at it. Link to comment
