blink_guy
so my girlfriend and i broke up late janurary. and although we were only officially dating for 4 months we have been best friends and such for the past 2 years and i have always liked her dearly. and for the seven months i havent talked to her much until recently where we started hanging out again. I still like her sooo much and she said the reason we broke up was cause i was always trying to impress her by being the "perfect bf" such as buying her nice things and when ever we went on dates i would plan it out so much and sutff. dating her for me was soo surreaal almost i couldn't even believe it and now i miss her sooo much. i ahve been meeting up with new girls but everytime i get into a girl i just have to back out cause i knwo im not over my ex. what should i do? Zeitgeist
Ah. The old "too perfect" a BF. Well, she probably legitimately felt that way b/c maybe she felt to much pressure to live up to your perfectness. It also sounds like you MAY have come off a bit clingy. That's okay though. What you need to do now is go NC for a little while. #1 because you need to get over her. #2 because she will start dating and come to the hard realization that "perfect" BF's don't grow on trees. That's when she will miss how "perfect" you were. Link to comment
