Caterina
I've noticed that many times before my period I will get very anxious and panicky. Even moreso, I begin to view every person in the world as against me/hating me. ANY other women experience this? Why would it be connected to my period? Link to comment
scared and alone
I feel homicidal and like crying lol. Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
The night before my period, I cry for little to no reason. Happens every time. Link to comment
bijoux27
I've noticed that many times before my period I will get very anxious and panicky. Even moreso, I begin to view every person in the world as against me/hating me. I am the same. I also have a quick temper and don't want anybody to touch me or even speak to me...even if they are nice. I also have a very negative view of the world...lol.......ahhh..thank God it isn't due for another couple weeks. Link to comment
greywolf
I usually wake up feeling sick each morning, but I'm not really sick so I go to work. hehehe I think I become a total baby during my period. seriously..... Even moreso, I begin to view every person in the world as against me/hating me. ANY other women experience this? Why would it be connected to my period? That could be because your self-esteem suffers during your period and then you view everyone as against you. Link to comment
Caterina
Its SO common. So what do you think is the cause? Any biology majors? Medical people? People who study this kind of thing? Link to comment

Seraphim
It is all hormonal I feel the same way. Link to comment
Supa_gurl
I get a little more depressed, and really tired. Other than that, no other PMS things happen to me. Ugh...one more week and I back to feeling this way. Bleh! Link to comment
jessiesgirl14
I get annoyed easliy. Like the littlest thing gets on my nerves that normally wouldnt. Something like someone breathing too heavily or having to wait for someone or having to stand in line... things like that. Link to comment
Gracelove
I get really sad/super emotional, and then I can be snappy. Link to comment
Angel_baby
I get really sad/super emotional, and then I can be snappy. I get the same way. It's all in the hormones. So when they say a female is hormonal it is true. Link to comment
just M.E.
I don't have those anymore (she jumps for joy!) but I used to feel: Needy Cranky It is definitely hormonal, and if you think PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome) is rough, just wait until you experience the real PMS (peri-menopausal syndrome), it doesn't stop after 7 days, try a few years! just M.E.
I have a couple of funny plaques about PMS and menopause .... "PMS: I keep having this nightmare that I wake up and find out this IS my real personality" "Menopause: I'm out of estrogen and I have a gun!" You used the correct wording, suffer ..... just remember, it is not real, it's just temporary, you do return to normal, oh and I have learned through all this, the PMS survival guide ... don't say any more than you have to, keep your month shut, then you don't have to do damage control afterward! LOL!! Link to comment

just M.E.
I know this is stereotyping but I heard this comedian do this bit on the military and separating the troops.... The normal male troops go in and start the battle (kind of a guy thing) Then 28 days later send in the all female platoons to kick a$$ and the whole war will be over in 7 days or less Then afterward, send in the gay platoon to clean up ... Hope everyone has a good enough sense of humor to laugh at ourselves! Link to comment
Weeblie
Am I the only one who occasionally experiences emotional highs? Cause every once in awhile, I'll be ridiculously optimistic and cheerful. I'll be super friendly, sociable and funny. Of course, that happiness can easily switch over to extreme sadness or anger in a matter of minutes. But darn...when the happiness is allowed to continue uninterrupted, I get some crazy things accomplished. Link to comment

How cool, a temporary insanity that goes away, I have had that happen also so I'm just joking, although not very often. It must be that just correct hormonal cocktail mix that throws you into the high, maybe pumps just enough extra of the feel good chemistry to your brain. I can understand by people with true bi-polar often don't want to be medicated because they enjoy the manic part so much. I believe (but don't know if it is true) that when you have that "up", your body struggles to regain the chemical balance and slips a little so you have the chemically induced "down" to match the "up". I think the reason women are very open to the concept of chemical imbalances affecting mental health is we experience our bodies taking us on roller coaster rides. Not only do we have PMS, we have pregnancy, child birth, nursing and menopause. It's amazing we can remain sane at all!! LOL! Link to comment
ZeldaPrinces
I'm the same, I get so happy and hyper and love everyone and everything and after a few minutes I hate myself and everyone around me. But only a week before my periods due. Weird. I tend to cry heaps more, and I get easily annoyed and jump at everything: Like someone could say: "Sometimes you can be a little * * * * * y." Normally I'd say: "A little? I can be a lot." But in PMS time it is more like: "What?! How could you say that? I am never * * * * * y! *start crying*" It's crazy. Link to comment
