I'm basically afraid I may have a less advantage of surviving my pending operation. Heres why.

Karl is leaving next year as you know and we are divorcing as he no longer loves me I am worried that whilst under if anything goes wrong. Well I won't have the strength to fight it.

Honestly I am petrified right now. Knowing this and have been bottling it up for weeks but today is a bad day.

If it makes you feel any better, my mother had this done (for the same reason...the fibroid thing as well as her ovaries were failing) ohhhh... 15 years ago, I think... and she survived and is fine now! I'm sure you will be too! keep us posted =)

I read the rest of your threads and it sounds as though you're in a pretty lousy situation right now. I'm so sorry about everything

Try not to worry about the operation...everything will be fine and the chance of any complications are slim to none, you will be under so it will be your physical body responding, not your emotions, so you're definitely going to be okay...let those fears go.

Have the operation and give yourself time to recover fully. I know you're in a bad living situation right now, but keep in mind that it's only temporary. Once you're strong again, you can start to focus on your future...you can get your own little place somewhere and start to rebuild your life. You can totally reinvent yourself if that's what you want to do. And I think that you should be able to keep your cats and I encourage you to keep them if you can(I know that this is off topic from this thread, but I did want to mention it).

You're going through some really hard knocks right now but you will be okay...

Good hospital, good doctor you shouldn't have a problem. If you were that worried I would of suggested doing a hospital search. I heard that you can look that up now, like theres this one city I forgot where in the East coast had the lowest percent of heart attack deaths because they had a record of doing it fast but very well or something.

You should be fine though, 1 out of 50, you are not going to be that 1. Your going nto be that 1 out of the 49 who makes it!

sorry I just feel awful today. Can't shift it.

You should never be sorry for how you feel. Of course you feel awful, you're going through a major surgery in a few days...it's scary

But, you WILL be okay. Just get through everything one little step at a time. You'll get stronger every day.

I feel so tired. Exhausted and I just want to scream.

I want it all to go away now.

Thanks so much again and sorry for ranting.

Your post hit me hard and I don't have anything profound to say. I mean it is possible, your fear is warrented, all prayers that you remain strong during your operation. Wow that's a lot to have going on at once. Losing a part of yourself, and your marriage. How awful. I hope you have someone to talk to to help you through this. When is your operation? I want to look for posts from you following is why I ask. You have me worried. Love keeps people alive, if it wasn't for the love of my children, son especially, I wouldn't have made it through my ordeal. He used to call just at the right time.

Tina, it is perfectly natural to feel afraid of an operation. I was afraid of just my back procedures!

I am sure you have a very good doctor doing the operation and the type that you are getting is fairly common. You will be ok. *hugs*

You will be in my thoughts.

I also wish you a fast recovery
