scared and alone
I left work today because I was sick this morning and nothing is making it better. I'm hungry, but I ate tomato soup earlier and I think that made it worse. I dont know what to eat and I have to go to work tomorrow for 9 hours so I kinda need this to stop, soon. what do people eat when they are nauseous? Link to comment
SapphireNoir10
Crackers, biscuits. Savoury dry stuff. Link to comment
greywolf
I usually eat light foods. Nothing that'll take forever to digest in my stomach. Link to comment

D_Lish
Eating dry toast takes away 'nausea' supposedly... Not very tasty, but if the 'nausea' is that bad, you will eat it... Link to comment

Jetta
When nausea was really bad my mom used to mixed up eggs with saltine crackers. It was oddly one thing we could keep down. For sure saltine crackers, ginersnaps, anything like that. Link to comment
Seraphim
Do you have the flu??? Have you tried taking gravol? Link to comment
scared and alone
No, I don't have the flu. I don't have a fever or anything. I've just been super busy lately with work (which, when I was unemployed, I just sat around all day doing nothing.) and yesterday I was doing tons of running around and helping my neighbor move. I don't know what it is. Maybe stress? I have a lot of stuff happening in the next few months. I just got sick this morning and the wanting to puke feeling just is not going away, not even when i'm sitting now. Oh and my period is gonna be starting in a few days, so thats probably not helping either. Link to comment
scared and alone
Would plain vanilla ice cream be a bad thing to eat? Link to comment
scared and alone
Try gravol. what is that? never heard of it. Link to comment
Seraphim
it is an anti nausea medication, very common can be found at any drug store. You might have to ask the pharmaticist to access it. You can also try sucking ice chips and eating a few crackers. Do not eat a lot though. Gravol will stop the sick feelling and help you sleep, and might be better in the morning. Then only eat little bits the next day till you are sure you are feeling better. Link to comment
sophie274
I'm late ... but if you feel really nauseous I would recommend not eating. If you do want to get something down - veggie broth, saltines, plain toast, light tea. If you feel ok you can move on to bananas, applesauce, rice, and maybe some jello. Link to comment
schueysgirl
Try and avoid all dairy stuff, so no vanilla ice cream is not good. Dry biscuits, dry toast, lots of water, ginger snap biscuits as ginger really helps nausea. Try taking deep breaths and also dabbing very cold water on your pulse points (wrist, temple, earlobe and forehead) can help. But avoid all dairy stuff!! Hope you feel better soon i hate feeling like that! xx Link to comment
schueysgirl
Also, can I just say try not to woryr about being sick and starting a new job. You cannot help it, and if there decent employers then they will understand. It is always best to go into work if your not well so your employer can see your unwell and advise you to go home or go to the doctors. Better this than them think you are just faking! Also, my boyfriend was sick on the first day of his new work, he was feeling off all day, went into work and was sick there. He was really upset about it, being his first day and his first real job. But i told him the same as i told you. Not your fault. Cant help it. If there decent people they'll understand and appreciate you trying to go in when your ill. His boss was absolutely fine with him. As long as when your better you put in 100% and always help out when your boss is stuck you'll be fine. Dont worry ok? this will make you feel much worse! Link to comment
