bingedrinking
If you have been raped, can you please report it immediately? It is imperative that you report it immediately so that evidence can be collected at the earliest. I know this sounds very basic but if more women follow this, the convictions for rape accused might be much higher. Please, please, please report it immediately no matter who it is(boyfriend, brother, friend whatever). I have the same advice for sexually harassed women. Whatever the case, please report it. There, I got that off my chest! Link to comment
kuhl282000
Report it at once .....call the police and file a report right away ..... Don't leave that person out there to do it again ....he must be behind bars Link to comment

It is basic, but to go and submit yourself to scrutiny after being subject to the vilest attact possibly isn't easy. That the convictions for rape are not higher is not the fault of those raped. It's the fault of a legal system that doesn't want to accept that men can behave like that, or that the rape survivor wasn't "asking for it" in some way. Link to comment
bingedrinking
Umm I don't mean to blame the victim in anyway. I meant that there would be more evidence if women reported it immediately. That is why I posted this. Hopefully at least women in enotalone would follow my advice. That's a small start. It is basic, but to go and submit yourself to scrutiny after being subject to the vilest attact possibly isn't easy. It isn't easy but it needs to be done. Link to comment
Seraphim
Yes, it does need to be reported. My first 2 attackers were never reported. Most are people that you know and this makes it VERY hard to report because you know there will be retrobution of some kind. The first for me I was 7 years old it was a college student that lived in my parents house. I never told my parents and they still do not know. The second I was 11 and it was a foster child in my parents care, he was 16. I never reported this either. Then when I was 13 I was assulted by a family member. This was reported and went to trial. I will not disclose details but he did walk away free because at the time the victim had to PROVE the assult not the criminal had to prove innocence. There was no physical evidence I could use because I was examined long after he was removed from the house and my father made me destroy all I had written down. PLease report ANY abuse, everyone has an obligation to report any abuse they see. I KNOW how it feels but it is FAR better reported and then you need to get all the help you need it is critical. ANYONE with any issues reated to this topic I would be glad to help you just PM me. Link to comment
