goldfish box
A few days ago, I was taking a shower, and I cleansed my vagina w/ a brand of soap I've never used before. It hurt in the shower when I was rinsing it out, but not badly. Then when I went to urinate, it burnt really bad and stung! It only lasted a few trips to the bathroom, then it was fine. I don't feel it anymore, but I'm just wondering if this is really bad, health-wise. Do you think I'll be fine? What are some causes of burning when urinating? Link to comment
Stars_n_Guitars
I don't know what to say. It's not a problem anymore? Don't use that soap again. You have to be very careful what you use on or in your vagina area. It's a very sensitive place. I once had that stinging and burning and I washed with a new soap. To get rid of it I simply wash again without soap, ran water on it for a couple of minutes and I was fine. Check out link removed to see if you can find something else that this symptom could be associated with. Link to comment
Applewhite
You're not supposed to wash the inside of your vagina with soap anyway. Just soap the outside and rinse, and wash the inside with only water. I was going to say you might have gotten a urinary infection, but if you say it's over now, I'm not sure what it was. Why not a short trip to the doc just in case? Link to comment

I can't stand feeling dirty down there. hahahah To the OP: Maybe your urethra just got a little irritated and that's why it hurt. Link to comment
tina-rocks
Hi, You probably had a reaction to some of the ingredients in the soap. Try using a sensitive soap and listen to the other posts as you could end up with Thrush. Never wash inside as it's a highly sensitive area. Link to comment

Seraphim
The vagina has it's own ph balance that it likes to keep. If you use soaps or other chemicals in there they are going to irritate it and offset the normal bacterial growth that is supposed to be there. Never wash INSIDE, just the outside. Link to comment
