power of one-sided delusion in relationship

I don't know if you've seen The Office? But there is a relationship that sort of in a small way reminds me of one I was in. Kelly and Ryans. Kelly is crazy about Ryan but he's with her for no definable reason and its easy for him to break up with her even though they seemed to have a deep connection on some level.

I've had that happen, it was easy for the guy to break up with me and to leave me and never talk to me again. It was very shocking, I thought he'd miss me. What about me made me so delusional? If I can be the delusional on that issue, it makes me question whether I know anything.

i never thought that kelly and ryan had any sort of a connection. she was all into him mainly because she's in the idea of being in love. he seemed interested at first in a one night stand but somehow got 'trapped' in a relationship. mainly because he didn't have the balls to tell her he wasn't interested. she kept his interest, short term, with sex. he didn't get the nerve to break up with her until he got a promotion in ny. i think a lot of guys are total chicken poo, they are too afraid to break up with a girl, so they behave badly hoping that we'll do it for them! once she started dating darrell, you see how quickly she moved on.

I don't know though, I mean, the fights they had were really specific...and they had passionate make ups. Then there was that deleted scene at the dumpster. And then some of the cute moments, like at Christmas when she hung the candy cane on his nose. When he broke up with her the first time, it seemed like he didn't put up much fight to stay broken up...he actually smiled in the interview after they got back together...it seemed as if he liked her.
