There were 2 gorgeous hostesses working there, one blonde and one brunette. I'm pretty sure this restaurant only hires model types now. Anyways, over the period of time I was waiting for a table I flirted with both of them individually. The brunette, who is more my type of the two, was extremely responsive and sort of seemed nervous. When she seated us she got in my way as I was going to sit down and she put her hand on my shoulder directing me into my seat and blushed. So, in my mind I figured I would be able to get her number if I wanted it. The blonde, while laughing at my jokes and stuff, didn't really say a whole lot back so I figured that she wasn't interested. The brunette passed by 4 or 5 times and smiled at me 3 times and the blonde maybe looked at me twice if that. After dinner, the brunette was helping me pay and I was just about to ask for her number when she says "[insert name here] thinks you're really cute and wants to give you her number but she's busy right now. I thought this might be some sort of a test so I said "Actually, I was about to ask for your number" and she said she had a boyfriend and that I should try things with the blonde girl. So since that night me and the blonde girl have talked over the phone a few things and have tons in common. We're going out tonight. Why can't girls just be straight up? Link to comment

So, flirting with you was easy because it didn't mean anything to her. She wasn't vulnerable. However, the blonde girl did like you. Seems that she is just a little shy. What I meant by that was restaurants don't only hire model-esque people like those preppy clothing stores do. At least the restaurants you're probably going to as a teen...Friday's, Houlihan's, those types of places. Believe me dude, I've worked my share of restaurant jobs. The hot 17-19 year old girls who work there, usually as hostesses, take those jobs because they want attention. Hostesses get paid horrible, but they get to stand in the front of the restaurant all done up for people to see them. It's awesome that you peaked their interest, but don't be surprised if this chick has a lot of baggage and is high maintenance. Still, I would take a non-serious fling with some of the hostesses I've known. Link to comment

I notice Blondes quicker because they stick out more but the most attractive girls I've ever seen in my opinion have been brunettes. When a girl acts that way in a different setting, it's a pretty sure thing they at least have some interest so while they may just be doing their job they may also be interested. And I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference between friendliness and interest by now. Link to comment

Secondly, I've known the attention craving hostesses and both of these girls seemed much different, a lot more class. Both were dressed conservatively and carried themselves very well. I don't go for the "look at me" types, I just shake my head at them. Link to comment

Lots of people on here look way too far into things in a negative direction and thereforee lack the confidence to look someone in the eye.
