Somebody slap me before I do something stupid!!

My coworker, with whom I broke up about a month ago, and I are doing just fine at work together. Nothing unusual.

She's been looking really, really good this week. And me being an IDIOT!!! I email her and tell her this. There were good reasons why I broke it off and it can't work. But she looks REALLY GOOD!!!

I need several good cyber-slaps to keep me focused on work and not her. It's not fair to her if I compliment her but have no intention of dating.

You said it yourself, there are reasons that you broke it off with her. Don't do this to yourself or her unless those reasons aren't an issue anymore. Especially with this taking place at work if she gets upset and thinks that you're playing with her head she might go to such extremes as forwarding that email to a superior and filing for sexual harassment.

1.) Different lifestyle choices (religion, etc.)

2.) Her personality was great, but she is super shy and that became an issue for me as we would barely be able to talk sometimes.

stop sending emails through work. ever heard the word 'FIRED'?

Our work culture is extremely casual. VPs down to temp workers send personal emails pretty much on a 1 to 1 basis with work-related emails.

But, you are right. It's not a good idea to do this at work, and I have read all of the horror stories about emails getting us in trouble.
