Is this girl 'negging' me or is she just an idiot or both?

I remember reading something about PUA and 'negging' came up. Apparently it's where you playfully insult a girl to take her down a peg or two and somehow it get's you in there. Well is there a female version because a certain girl at work is behaving rather oddly towards me?

 

Basically she will if we are in the same group at break she will go on constantly about how boring Iam. Whenever I speak she starts to giggle and yawn. When I was using the photocopier on my own she comes up to me and says 'it's not just me who thinks your boring my friends do too'. She has found out I go to the gym constantly tells me and anyone who can be bothered to listen how boring lifting weights is and how boring the men are who do it.She doesn't act like this too other guys at work.

 

I went to the pub on Friday night with a mixture of work colleagues and friends .

She saw me chatting up a girl ,comes up to use and says 'don't worry I'm here to rescuse you from him , before he kills you with boredom' The girl I was chatting too then quickly leaves us. This girl then grins at me and leaves.So she * * * * blocks me. Later on I was sitting with my brother and this girl comes and sits on my lap grinds herself into me gives me heavy eye contact says ' and how are you ?' when I say something she gets up and says your boring me now and skips off.My brother then yelled something rather nasty at her.

 

Finally she has even got in trouble at work for pinching my bum as I was bending over to pick something up. And our boss saw and told her to keep it out of the office.

 

I'm not interested in her as she is not my type. I go for dizzy blonde girls and she is dark haired and a bit too feisty. Iam just interested to see if this is flirting. in case a girl Iam intrested in behaves like this.

Yes Iam a sucker for them. I have never had a girlfriend who is brunette. In fact my mum says my ex girlfriends were so stupid they probably lowered my IQ too.

No, I don't think he meant that ALL blondes are "dizzy" but that he prefers the dumb ones. Whatever rocks his boat, I guess... I prefer my women to hold intelligent conversations....

 

ANYWAY... to the OP: She's obviously flirting with you, but if I were in your shoes I'd be offended as it's a bit heavy-handed. It's one thing to playfully banter and joke and it's quite another to be flat-out rude. Next time it happens, tell her straight out you don't appreciate it.

I don't think he means that he's just referring to what I said.And I don't think all blondes are stupid.I just happen to have a particular type I go for.Blonde girls who don't take life very seriously (I'm trying to use the right words here

They're separate words. Blonde is preference for hair color, dizzy is the preference for mind.

 

Don't defend blondes. Blondes don't need defending. Anyone who would call someone dumb just b/c they're blonde is an idiot. But no one was even doing that here...especially MushroomGod...who was saying he has liked intelligent blondes.

Thank you! and it was taken out of context because she combined 2 separate posts. I really shouldn't have to defend myself. I wouldn't date a "dizzy" girl of any hair color. Never did I say that all blonds were dumb.

i think the OP meant ditzy. and since his spelling is off, i don't blame him searching for ditzy girls. as for the girl who keeps telling him he's boring, she's saying opposite of what she means. she probably likes the fact that he works out, but tries to get his interest by saying that exercise is boring. i don't know how many men she's scored with her tactic, but i don't like the sound of her.

The guy said he likes ditzy blonds (totally not my type, but w/e), so chill out everyone. I'm sure we all know some blonds and brunettes who are total idiots. It's not their hair color that makes them dumb...it's their upbringing and brainwashing that makes them dumb. =p

urgh... PUA crap. I have had a really bad experience where my ex was completely engrossed in that stuff... the number of books, courses he went on, forums, etc.... it drove me crazy. In fact, I was crazy to stay with him. He said he was only involved with it because it helped him in other areas of his life (work, self confidence, ego). In fact, it was actually a way for him to cheat on me and find another girl, all in the name of 'self improvement'.

 

By your post sounds like you know pua stuff... negging / ck block / etc.

 

I'm going to try and take a step back here from my total disagreement with pua. Well, this girl certainly is acting quite hostile towards you. Did you have any relationship at all? Did you lead her on at one point or show interest, and then all of a sudden stop or lose interest?

 

She either really dislikes you, or has a bad approach when it comes to flirting. If she dislikes you then I think she wouldn't be so vocal about it. So that leaves the other scenario, where she is kind of interested.

 

I think she is just testing you to see how you will respond. If you tease back (play fight, mock her, smile, joke, etc) then she will probably start being nicer to you. If you don't flirt back and are uninterested, then she'll get the hint eventually.

 

Whatever you want to do I suggest you be clear about it - her behaviours I'm sure are not coming from nowhere. And since she's a work colleague, I'd leave your PUA skills at home and try them on another girl instead. Just don't give her anything to go on and she'll leave you alone.

The OP didn't give me the impression that he was some pua expert. I've heard of those terms too but I'm obviously no pua. =p In fact, hearing some of their crap makes my ears bleed. They act like there's a set process or formula that guys can follow, which is bs. However, some of their stuff does help in gaining self-confidence.

I think the PUA thing is about as much a sign as cheating as finding lipstick on his collar. That stuff is not only sexist, its about as scum of the earth as you can get.

 

 

 

Can you imagine if there was a set process in getting any woman? To me, that really makes the idea of a special girl out there obsolete.
