T84
I just want to know what the woman thinks about this. Do you like it when a guy sprays his cologne on a letter/rose etc. and give it to you?. As a guy, i like it alot especially when i'm away and can't see her. Link to comment
bijoux27
No. I don't really smell paper. But I like when I can smell his cologne on a shirt or teddy bear he gives me. Link to comment
lila...
I do. For the same reasons you posted. Also, I really like the smell of cologne, it's really sexy. Link to comment
Clementine orange
Kinda cheesy but yeah, romantic as well (the two go hand in hand anyway) Link to comment
Jetta
I just like a guy to wear it. I don't generally smell letters, but I suppose that goes along with kissing a letter when lips are full of lipstick. Sentimental perhaps. Link to comment
T84
What about on a rose, i know some girls like the smell of the rose. So would it be a pro or a con to do it? Link to comment

If it is old spice, nix it. LOL Link to comment
Caterina
I had a guy send me a letter with cologne on it and a spiderman picture. I was sixteen and when it came in the mail I was so embarrassed b/c my father took it out and smelled it and said "He put cologne all over this!" So now I don't want anyone to do it. Link to comment
Snoopy24
eh, i would think it was kind of odd to tell you the truth. Esp the rose. Like another poster said, HIS tshirt, sweater, even a teddy bear is cute, but not on a letter or rose. Link to comment
T84
I always thought that the letters is more of a girl to guy thing. And i guess things that can hold the scent better for the ladies - such as shirts, stuff bear etc. Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
I love the smell of guys that I'm involved with. Even if they smell funky. (one of my exes was a swimmer and the chlorine was practically embedded him. But every time I got a whiff of chlorine, it drove me wild.) Link to comment

Use what's left on your thumb and rub it into one of the corners. It will be more subtle that way. Link to comment
tiredofvampires
Strangely enough, I am a book-sniffing fetishist anyway -- I like to open a book, even a musty one, and smell the pages, near the crack. Old books smell the best, but new ones have that laminate smell that creates the same effect for me as "new car smell". Smelling stationary falls into this quirk as well, so call me a goofball, but the romantic fact of opening a card from you plus the blanched paper scent is enough of a turn-on. However, my ex was very fond of spritzing his cologne in the things he sent me -- books and cards, that is. And I'd say I did take to it, much as it's not the norm for me. I much like the scented, perfumed paper more than the cologne on HIM, that's for sure (I prefer a man's natural scent). Somehow unless the cologne is SUPER soft and subtle, I feel like it obscures things. But I'm a total hypocrite, because I do like to wear scents myself, sparingly from time to time. So yes, to the LIGHT scenting of letters and notes, but NO to the rose. That's clear out of the ballpark NO -- a rose already has its scent, that's the point. I wouldn't tamper with that. Jelina
No. I don't really smell paper. But I like when I can smell his cologne on a shirt or teddy bear he gives me. I agree, my boyfriend sprayed cologne on a teddy bear he gave me. I loved it. I don't know about letters though, just be careful it doesn't rub off the ink. Link to comment
Caterina
I like the smell of new books...its funny, a lot of people say they like the smell of old books, but its too musty for me! There are some books that have been published with terrible ink, have you ever smelled those? I've smelled books that smell like (forgive me) mucous b/c of the ink. If I'm dating a man, my favorite place to smell is his temples, I don't know why...but I like that part. Link to comment
