Okay, so I'm going to try to keep this short. Basically, I did this summer program and while there I met this guy that I developed this crush on. Where I come from, there aren't that many gay guys to begin with, so I have literally no experience with other guys. Anyways, for the majority of the time, I kept my crush on him a secret. Only a few friends knew and they kept pushing me to talk to him. Towards the end, I gave in to the peer pressure and I told him how I felt. The feeling was mutual, but he let me know that he was moving after the program and didn't want to start a relationship. Which, I thought, was understandable. So, we had a little fling for the remainder of the program (I guess you could call it a fling). It's been a few days since the program has ended, and we haven't talked since saying good bye. I'm really tempted to message him, but I'm not sure if it would be a good idea. I'd really like to be friends because I do enjoy talking to him. Should I message him? How do I make it clear that I'd like to be friends?
