Sean
I've been talking to this friend for the past 4 month. In the first 3, we've been doing great. It seems like we can't get enough of each other. However, this past month, it seems like we've started to drift apart. It started when she got tired of my "Alpha male" attitude and she feels like I tell people too much. Honest to God I've been working on those two things, and yes I recently had a slip up while trying to improve on those two things. I've tried to talk to her about this, but she just thinks I'm over-thinking, and worrying too much. But I've looked at letters and IMs convo we've had like a month ago, and I see the change. Maybe I just need to sit her down and make her listen to my concerns. I have vacation time coming up, I'll be out of town for a week. Maybe a week long break will set things back on the right track. All I know is that to me, it feels like we're drifting apart, and I don't like it. I want us to be close again. Any advice? Link to comment
Miranona
Tell her exactly the same thing: short and simple: I've looked at letters and IMs convo we've had like a month ago, and I see the change. I have vacation time coming up, I'll be out of town for a week. Maybe a week long break will set things back on the right track. All I know is that to me, it feels like we're drifting apart, and I don't like it. I want us to be close again. Any advice? sit her down in person and say the above and make sure you emphasize the boldfaced words. You can do no wrong when you are honest. Link to comment
Allesklar
I would let her be for now. You shouldn't be apologizing for your Alpha Male personlatity. Be confident in who you are and others will respect you for that. Try to initiate conversation but if she's not interested just leave her alone. Don't cling or change yourself for her.
