I'm really gonna need Home Depot to get my drug test back now

Recommended Posts

I do not want to work at either other place that offered me a job, but if they dont call me back, i dont have a choice. I have an orientation with one saturday morning and another monday afternoon. GAH. I would MUCH rather work at home depot. But i'm not gonna turn down another job if I havent even heard back from this one. I might not here back, so i can't risk not having a job. I mean, I took the drug test monday at noon, they should have it back by now, shouldnt they? Should I call them tomorrow if they haven't called by then or should I wait til monday? gah. this is just so frustrating. ](*,) And I so think I turned down the wrong job.

A realistic time frame is 3 days. Then they will sit on that for another 3 days I would say 10 business days then call for a follow up.

so if i call them tomorrow and they still haven't gotten the results back, should I go to the orientation on saturday? I need A job, even if I hate it for now.

well yes you should go because you never know what is going to happen.

The way things are going with people not having jobs and the way the economy is, you just get what you can get for now....

Home Depot is not a bad place to work. When you put it in perspective, it never gets slow like how other retail store do. But I do have to say I really hate the store, there is something about it that doesn't give off a good vibe when you come in plus you are always looking for people to help you out and they dont really want to. Their customer service isn't the best at all, like they have all that money but they can't seem to hire people who want to work.

I went into Home Depot, approximately two weeks ago to but two gallons of paint. Actually it was stain for a Deck and Fence. Had to buy it from their cause it was selected from their. I went to the paint desk, one of the lady associates offered me some help while her male colleague sat their and just talked to her. I tell her "I need to get two gallons of this Behr stain, tinted to this color and here is the formula sheet". Right away her male colleague tells us both, "ohh we don't sell that kind of stain anymore nor do we have the formula for that color its been discontinued for over a year now" and "I'm like no its not, I just purchased two more gallons last night (which was the truth) so its cannot become discontinued over night." Right after I told him that, another customer came to that guy and told him off cause she was waiting for him to come back and help her, he had started to help her, which he didn't want to help her.

A week prior to this paint situation, we purchased one of those exterior lights that look like street lamps. Well we saw a sale price, and took it, little did we know the sale was over cause it was for the week that had just finished. Anyways we go to the cash and it comes up at normal price and we say well there was a sale sign their. Anywyas the cashier calls a one of the lighting representatives and come looks at what he needs to check, and goes to check and he goes and pulls the sign off and tells us their is no sign and accused us of lying. 3 hours later with constant complaining we got the sale price, not cause we wanted to be assholes but it was the principle.

Last reason why I dislike Home Depot cause they screwed me over with my job interview. The called me and scheduled me for an interview, I show up dressed in business casual and they tell me that they contacted me and rescheduled the interview for two day later. Well I tell them I never got a call, they kept insisting that they called me. So I straight up told them, well I didn't get a call cause all the phone calls go straight to my cell phone cause its my cell phone number that I have provided them with, their was an awkward silence after I said that. So the guy reschedules the interview two days later at a time that I am in school, and I can't make it. Anyways he says that he will call me with an exact time and never does. Over a month later the manager who called me initially calls me and tells me that they have scheduled me for an interview.

So this is my reasons why I dislike Home Depot. And why I think you can do way better then them.

Just to add this past week I have received two emails from them in regards to my application made back then.

I haven't had any bad experiences with home depot.....In fact when I was giving my townhouse a little makeover, I was in home depot for like an hour and half and this one guy was just a dear....He spent as much time with me as I needed. He was kind as were the other employees.

I guess it just depends on the individual stores. Some stores will certainly have a lower work morale than others.....It can be like that with any retail store..
