annie24
well.... 14.8 lbs away from goal. still a while to go.... I should get myself something, dunno what. maybe a pair of earrings when i hit 145? The lowest weight i have been since i can remember is 144.3, when i was 22 years old. before that... don't remember. maybe I was 14 and 130 or something? When i hit 144, that will be a big deal for me, to be the skinniest as an adult i have ever been.... i went shopping today with a friend, had some great coupons and huge sales. i bought a 1 piece swim suit, it has tummy shapers and all that. it was originally $88, got it on sale for $25. i got a new pair of running shoes, originally $50, on sale for $34. Got a strapless bra, a new one, because the old one is too big for me now, originally $31, now $21. so, i did well today! and got some cheapie sunglasses. also went to williams and sonoma where i got some orange marmalade french jam on sale, as well as honey and coffee and a garlic press. i hate chopping garlic. my huge splurge was on a $75 bottle of fruition at estee lauder, it is the only thing that helps my skin. with the summer time and all this stress, my skin is breaking out like a teenager's! I tried on some clothes today, but decided not to buy any real clothes. I want to be at my target goal before i go on a shopping spree. I want to be able to replace all the bigger clothes in my closet with small clothes!
Daligal83
I just went shopping too. I haven't changed sizes in clothes at all over the past like 2 years. It's frustrating. I mean I'm OK with the size I'm getting, but you think it'd change with all the work I do lol. By the way, I spent way too much. Granted I was at the outlets, but I got two board games for my niece, two watches, jeans, earrings, a necklace...oy. Plus on Friday I got two shirts and a pair of shoes. And next weekend is an art festival. This is not like me! lol

annie24
link removed I've included pictures of how i looked at 180 (max), 150 (current), and 135 (target). I'm "wearing" a really similar swimsuit to the one i bought today on sale.
sophie274
I really enjoy those simulators! Except I can hardly see a different between 150 and 135, whereas I'm sure in real life it would be quite noticeable. That's what bothers me about them ... I tried to do it for my current weight and my goal weight, but since I'm already "thin" it looked the same for my before and after.
annie24
yeah, you are right. it's nearly impossible to see the difference between 150 and 135, though you can REALLY see it between 180 and 150 on that model. you guys really don't understand how many clothes i own. i'm looking forward to getting slimmer so i can keep cleaning out my closets. it's really out of control, how many clothes i have, in all different sizes. so far, have gotten rid of pretty much all the size 12 and 14 stuff, so hopefully the 10 can be retired forever soon too. annie24
This is the swimsuit I bought, the trimshaper in size 10. But the color is aqua, not pink, but i couldn't find a photo of it online. it has the sort of 'ruching' at the waistline to make it look like i have more of a defined waist. i'm happy, $25! yay! and i can actually go swimming in it, not just lay out like in a bikini and pray it doesn't fall off (happened to me many times!)
sophie274
That's really cute. I like the ruching. I hope you'll be feeling good enough to break out the bikinis soon! Several of my bikinis fall off when I dive in - oops, especially if people are watching! Same here on the clothes .. although they are all pretty much one size, what doesn't fit goes to my sister who is shorter and thus a smaller size. Are you giving the clothes away? That's always a lovely thing to do, but if you need some money you could try ebay! I've never actually sold (or bought) anything on ebay but you could probably make a bit of cash.
annie24
i've just been giving them away to charity, but have considered ebay. some of my clothes are so old though, i may as well give them to charity, but maybe some of the designer stuff, i can sell on ebay (though i have very few designer things!) ok, just did a 30 minute workout, "cardio sculpt." was good. it's with Debbie Siebers, who does the slim in 6 program. link removed I have the set, i really like it. it comes with a free resistance band too. I also bought her "slim express" series, i like it. maybe i'll buy the other set, the "Slim Series" also. she's not too chatty, but not too quiet either. i think she's nice and not too perky, too much perky annoys me. I think she's just perfect, that's my take on her. i never get sick of doing those workouts. I used to use soup-cans instead of weights, before i got my adjustable weight set. annie24
Weight 2 weeks ago: 149.8 lbs Today's weight: 153.2 lbs Gained in 2 weeks: 3.4 lbs Total lost: 26.6 lbs Ok...... I went to Mexico City for a week on vacation, ate all sorts of yummy mexican foods. After that, I got a super fun case of Montezuma's Revenge where I didn't eat for 2 days. And then, all I crave now are Big Macs. Strange, huh? I've already had 2 big mac meals from McDonalds this week. Prior to this, I hadn't eaten at McDonald's since.... uhh.... January??? I wasn't sure what the scale was going to say after all of that, but it says I am quite up! It's ok, it will come back down. I think that I'm going to have as my "mini-goal" to reach 145 lbs. Currently, I don't have cable TV, or get any channels at all. I miss TV, so I think I will resusbscribe (i've not had any TV for 8 months, apart from staying in a hotel or seeing it at someone's house). Right now, I just watch Netflix. I think when I reach 145 lbs, I will call DISH or DirecTV and order service. That's my mini-goal. Maybe I can get there before Septmeber 30th, my 1 year anniversary of WW? Ok, gotta go. Contemplating between McDonald's and Subway for lunch, but subway is probably the better choice. my stomach isn't 100% yet, so there aren't many foods I am in the mood to eat right now. The only good thing about McDonalds is that it is a 20 minute walk from where I work, so a round trip takes 40 minutes of walking, which isn't a bad thing at all.
Daligal83
Go with the subway! You'll feel better about yourself and it'll help keep you on track. Do you think your 0 point soup would be something you can eat right now? I'm sure those pounds will melt right off once you're feeling better. annie24
hey there - i did go for the subway after all. 6 inch roast beef on white, not toasted, no cheese, just lettuce, pickle, and some light mayo, strawberry yogurt, and a diet coke. i was thinking about just having some chicken broth later, i don't know if i'm ready for too many vegetables in that soup just yet! sigh, i would have hoped with the montezuma's revenge i would have at least lost some weight, though it all would have been water, i guess. also, on thursday night, i was craving udon noodles with sweet and sour sauce, random, huh? i went to the local asian noodle house, they happened to have that on their menu! that didn't help with the weight either, i am sure. i think my body has just been craving fat and carbs to replenish reserves or something... today for breakfast after the weight watchers meeting, i had a blueberry toasted bagel with light cream cheese, coffee and a banana. bananas i can eat. the cute boy behind the counter was trying to talk me into a chocolate chip cookie, but i resisted (chocolate chip cookies are my weakness!!!) today's topic at the weight watchers meeting was in honor of the olympics, about finding exercises you like to do, and how to make yourself do it, especially if you are the type who doesn't like to exercise. tips like prepare your gym bag the night before, go first thing in the morning, etc... I think I should go to the local pool soon with my new bathing suit and swim a few light laps.
Daligal83
Maybe it's the time of the year or something. I've had a real dessert like every day for the past week. It was my nieces birthday and my birthday last weekend, which extended into desserts at work, then a baby shower at work and then eating out and my neighbor making apple pie....I'm out of control! But I've heard compliments from like four people during the past week about how good I look, so I need to stop eating those things before it goes in the other direction haha. I like that topic of your WW meeting. It's all about pushing yourself when you think you can't do it. I pack my gym bag and take it to work with me and go straight from there. It's such a routine that it's not even a question of if I'm going or not...I just do. Your new bathing suit can be motivation! You don't want it to go to waste lol. annie24
yeah, it's hard avoiding all the goodies in the summer, all the bbqs and all that. i'm finding it harder to navigate than the winter holidays!!! i've decided to go back on the "meltdown diet" for the next week. it's from link removed. basically, it's a 7-day diet plan, each day is about 1600 calories. the foods are all low-GI foods (glycemic index). low in simple sugars, high in fiber, low in fat, so the food is very filling and you stay full for a while. it's basically the kinds of foods that diabetics are encouraged to eat. i found it worked well for me, the last time i did this, i lost i think a pound or two that week, don't remember how much. so, i just went to the grocery store tonight and bought all the stuff for today - friday. will go again to the store saturday morning after weight watchers. this is the monday plan: link removed However, the shrimp i bought was frozen, so i'll have it tomorrow night for dinner, or wednesday i think. instead, today, i had this for dinner: Teriyaki tofu stir fry (4 oz tofu, 2 cups snow peas, carrots, and water chestnuts, ¼ cup Teriyaki sauce) Brown or basmati (¾ cup) I have a pineapple teriyaki sauce from trader joe's and i used a frozen asian mix of vegetables for the stir fry. used PAM spray instead of oil, and basmati rice. yummy! annie24
food plan for tomorrow, tuesday: Breakfast Whole wheat toast with almond butter (1 slice bread, 1 TBS almond butter) Orange Reduced fat milk (1 cup) Snack Pear Lunch Egg salad over mixed greens with vinegarette dressing (½ cup egg salad, 2 tsp mayonnaise, 2 cups mixed greens, 1 TBS vinaigrette - 3 g of sugar or less per serving) Snack Light yogurt (6 oz container) Dinner Chicken fajitas with whole wheat tortillas (4 oz chicken, 1/3 cup black beans, ½ cup sautéed onions and peppers, 1-6" tortilla) Guacamole (¼ cup) Salsa (½ cup) Sour cream (2 TBS) 100-Calorie Snack (optional) Kiwi slices with chopped pecans (1 kiwi, 2 TBS nuts)
Daligal83
annie I admire how well you do with the diet. I'm all about the exercise and not the diet. I just don't care enough for some reason. I hate cooking, so that doesn't help. Someday I'll stop being so lazy and just do it. But since I've gotten so many compliments, I guess I'm doing alright (even if I don't see what people are talking about).
annie24
hahah, i'm kind of the reverse from you. i love to cook. but have to sort of drag myself to exercise. i'm sitting here with a totally full stomach after dinner, not ready to work out just yet. i usually work out at night. still digesting my food though. good job, sounds like you are doing really well!!! the thing i like about the meltdown diet is that none of those meals are too complicated to prepare. Daligal83
I'm really really bad in the kitchen though. Like I read what you just posted and I got exhausted just thinking about it. It's pathetic. I absolutely love the exercise though. I think part of it is the environment that I workout in. I just posted a thread and said that it's like my "Cheers" haha. It's sad but true. That encourages me to want to go there. And the fact that there are hot guys
annie24
Last week's weight: 153.2 lbs Today's weight: 151.6 lbs Lost this week: 1.6 lbs Total loss: 28.4 lbs yay, some of the weight came off this week, more to go... i did the shape "meltdown" diet plan, for the most part. did indulge in too many weight watchers ice cream bars (the chocolate cookie ones are my favorite!!!) but, it's my time of the month, and i am always more hungry. i didn't exercise as much as i planned to, i got some really awful neck stiffness the last few days, i think i overdid it in dance class on tuesday night with the head snaps. i went grocery shopping and found some really good deals at the cheap grocery store. weight watchers desserts for $1.69 each, and fiber one bars for $2.29 a box. got some low sugar jam, some rice cakes too. i just had a recipe on the back, it was really good: 2 rice cakes 1/4 cup of cooked shredded chicken 2 teaspoons of finely sliced onions 2 tablespoons of bbq sauce cilantro low fat shredded cheese mix the chicken, bbq sauce and onions, microwave for 30 seconds. spoon 1/2 mixture onto the rice cake, top with cilantro and a tablespoon of the low fat cheese. makes 2 servings. 100 calories each. i just had 2 for lunch, they were good! i was just thinking how i like my saturday morning routine. get up, go to the weight watchers meeting, get some cheap groceries, and then sit at Einstein's bagels and have some coffee and read some magazines and wait for the bus to go home. i didn't have a bagel there today, i just had a banana and black coffee. i like the laid back saturday morning routine. annie24
link removed So, i came accross this site today. Very cool! It's a woman from the weight watchers boards, who started at 383 lbs, is down 100 lbs and is still going. she's really inspirational, a really good writer. The recipes she's posted look great, i'm going to try them all soon. I think her before and after photos are spectacular. things are going well. gave into some chocolate today, but it's ok, i also walked 5 miles today. going to do a mini-workout tonight too. need to eat more fruits and vegetables today, so i'll have a salad as a snack later. 6.6 lbs away from my 'mini-goal' of 145 lbs.....
