San Diego/Northampton

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about moving to either the San Diego, CA area or the Northampton, MA area? I've been thinking a lot about moving to either one of those places in the next year or so and was wondering if anyone had any take on the gay/lesbian scene in either of these places? I've visited Northampton last summer and LOVED it and know it's very gay friendly down there but just wanted to see if anyone had any real experience living down there or over in San Diego? Any opinion would be great!

I'd say there's lots of gay people here in San Diego, but half of them aren't out because they are in the navy.

I think any large city would have a section known as the "gay quarter" or something like that.

 

I've been to Northhampton and it's a nice place. It's certainly a college town and I don't know if that matters to you or not. I don't know about the gay scene other then that Smith College has a reputation for lesbians.

Those are two very different places! Why Northampton and San Diego?

 

Why not just come here to Boston?
