What do you think of this woman I'm trying to meet?

So there is a woman at my job that I've noticed. Based on what I've been told by others and my observations. We have very similar hobbies. Shes smart and attractive. Basically, from what I can tell a good match. Lots of co-workers have tried to "hook" us up together. I have a hard time approaching women that I work with at my job. We work for a very large corporation but Im always afraid things might go bad. Anyway, we talked on messenger at work and she told me in so many words that she is interested. Although she had a bad experience in the past so she didn't want to try again. I immediately told her I understood and backed off. Although, she kept talking to me. Not sure why. Anyway, before new years she contacted me and asked if I would like to do some duoing for the holiday. Excited I agreed. Then I didn't hear from her and she avoided me at work for about a week.

 

I left it alone again.

 

A few days later, one of her friends told me to not give up on her. They arranged a "bowling" night so we could meet up outside of work. It was two weeks out and before we could meet up she contacted me again. I offered my email address thinking if I could just get some converstation going outside of work that I might have a chance. She gave it to me and I emailed her. It was nice email nothing bad. No response. We talked on messenger a few times and as soon as I mentioned the email she went cold.

 

I left it alone again.

 

Bowling night came and went. I told my friends and coworkers I was not going. From what I was told, she didn't show up either. No idea if it was because I didn't go. So I assumed something was up although I was confused so I just let it go. About a week later she came to my desk and apologized and said that she didn't want me to think she was ignoring me. Telling me that she gets her email on her phone and accidently erased it. Now I get my email on my blackberry as well but I never lose it. Either way, she asked me to email her again. I did as she asked. No response. One week, two weeks, and now nothing.

 

I left it alone again.

 

So now she somewhat drops her head when she passes my desk. She sometimes says, "hi". I never respond. The whole thing was just quite odd.

 

So... any of you people have idea what might have happened? I really liked her but things just went weird.

Who really knows what happened?I don't think it was anything that you did.Perhaps she met someone else in the interim or she just wasn't that attracted to you[oh well,move onto the next one!!].There isn't any point in analyzing why it didn't happen.I would be polite with her but nothing more.
