lenny1
Just wondering, if you've fallen into the friendzone with your ex, what can you do to increase your chances of getting out of there? This doesnt relate to my own particular situation btw...? Link to comment

lenny1
Sorry, i kinda assumed that by saying I wanted to get out of the friendzone it was implied that i wanted to get back together. Its actually for a friend who is asking for advice on this , and since this forum had helped me with my own situation with my ex, i decided i'd get some views and pass them on to him. Link to comment

Appapently sex doesn't secure a place out of the friend-zone...lol. There are a few types of 'friendzone' 1]The person feels zero attraction for you....2]The person is attracted to you but is committed to someone else and 3]The friends with benefits where the person is attracted but doesn't want commitment or a real relationship. To get out of the 'friendzone' is difficult but there is a chance in Numbers 2 and 3 above. The best way, however is to move on and find someone who wants exactly what you want and you don't settle for anything less. In the case of exes it depends on if there's still attraction and love and a genuine willingness to solve the problems that caused the breakup in the first place from both parties involved. That is good advice. Being in the friendzone or simply hanging around hoping, will only see you become nothing but second best. Link to comment

The friend zone is a neutral grounds so just relax and see what happens. Play it cool and act like you are not worried about it-I bet you before you know it he will be explaining his plans and feelings! Link to comment

I agree with this you can tell if someone is still attracted to you or not and if they are I would say that the friendzone is rather neutral if attraction is still there. I would not just hang around the ex persay I would definitely move on with life but when I was around them I would be cool and not bring up the past or the future. Link to comment
