Stinkweed
I don't know when it happened, I just know it wasn't while I was running, but I've got this pain, now on my foot. I was thinking it was a shin splint or something, but it's definitively not on my shin. When measuring from heel to toes, it's at about the middle but more to the side as in towards my other foot. It hurts like hell when I walk (which I need to do a lot now that I'm back in school). I don't know how to describe the pain... I know when I'm just sitting it doesn't hurt at all, unless I press on it with my hand. And when I'm walking it hurts mostly when I bend my foot slightly so as to fall on the ball of my foot every time I take a step. What can this be and how long will it take for it to go away? Lana0120
I had something similar once. It was a tearing of a tendon. In which case, it can take a couple of months to heal. I'd get it checked out if I were you. Link to comment
savannahohsavannah
Posting a question on a bulletin board is NEVER a substitute for going to a doctor and getting it checked out. Yes, you should you know. Most Universities have a student health clinic so you should go, and if they think you need to they will send you to an orthopedist. Link to comment
ghost69
sounds like you stressed out the arch of your foot. i get this when i've done too much with my calves in the gym. but it can hit you after running or something. get it checked out. Link to comment
Stinkweed
I doubt it's a torn tendon... There's no swelling at all, and there's no bruise or anything... Will get it checked out, though. Just wanted to see what people had to say. Maybe it wasn't anything serious and someone could've had an idea to make it go away faster... Well guess that's what doctors are for. Link to comment
