MaNg0s
I have been living in London for most of my life. During this time I have just started to hate the city I have been in quite a few fights over the most ridiculous things ever. I was walking down the road and bumped in to someone and for that they started a fight with me another example I was coming home from a party and got jumped by 3 guys just because I was brown. The city life is just not for me it is too crowded and noisy. Everyday I wake up I am just starting to hate my life because of where I live. I know this sounds silly but its true. People who do not live in London it is not like you see on tv with tea parties and the queen and all that crap it is becoming extremely dangerous and the death rates for teens are increasing day by day. I already have issues with anxiety and living here is just making me miserable. I have planned to get a job and move to a small village far away from London. I went to visit my gf she lives in a small village and it was amazing people were friendly and the streets were quiet. It was amazing as soon as I got home I felt miserable just knowing I was back In London. Sorry for the rant but is there anything I can do to control my anxiety I would like to move but I would hate to just leave my parents after everything they have done for me. Link to comment
Gath
If you want to do something about your anxiety I would reccomend a therapist. Honestly though, a big city like that really isn't safe, so it isn't like your anxiety is unfounded. Moving away sounds like a good idea to me. And hell, its the UK. Anytime you miss your parents you can hop on a train and be there in a couple hours. Its not like you're moving from new york to california or something. Link to comment
tom_duley
I grew up in a medium sized city population ~1 million. I thought it was a pretty sorry standard of living. Now I have moved to a remote town (no broadcast t.v. only 2 FM Radio stations). I make less than I would make in the city, my cost of living may be a little higher, and I love it. It is totally worth it for your QUALITY of life. Small towns are healthier places to live. Link to comment

k_1971
I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you. Racist attacks are absolutely abhorrent. Unfortunately it's not just in London it happens. It happens all over. From experience, quite often the small town mentality can actually be worse, however. I think that getting to the bottom of your anxiety should be your first priority. you should be able to enjoy the city you live in, not be scared of it. Best of Luck Link to comment
ButterflyWrists
Hey MaNgOs. Talk more to your therapist about your anxiety. If nothing can be done, then talk to your parents about moving. Your 18, so you can move out. But you got to think about college etc. and what it is you want from your life. Link to comment
