ConfusedDater
The 2nd Date I went on last friday was good for my ego but the Girl is just too weird for me. She has been downgraded to INDOOR FRIEND because i have no interest in going out with her anymore. She is just too much of a goofball to be a potential girlfriend and the spark is not there. She is Cute and Nice but i can't deal with a GOOFY female. So I will just look forward to the new year and continue on with my goal of one first date a month and keep getting better. I will stay positive Link to comment
sandyv
Hey ConfusedDater.... If you were trying to get a laugh, your post did it for me.... that was cute yet funny. Thats exactly what you'll be needing for the dating game, a huge sense of humour! Link to comment

I will stay positive I have to admit, I'm cool with "cute and goofy" in a partner. I'm probably not the norm, but I like it. Too serious bugs the hell out of me. Link to comment
wiser
What was it about this girl that made you classify her as "weird"? Is it possible that she was just nervous, or inexperienced? Sometimes you need more time in order to really get a good read on a person. Link to comment

Grown 27 year woman getting excited and giddy to watch cartoons?? So she is more suited for a friend not really romance Link to comment

I said that maybe she was just nervous the 1st time and that she will be different as we talk more but it just seems like she gets more and more weird the more I talk to her-lol She is coming over my apart on Saturday and That will probably be our last time seeing each other Link to comment

Ampire
why is she weird??? define normal for me??? noone is normal, were all weird in our own way..... and by reading ur previous posts you seem like a really really uptight dude.....maybe try to loosen up a little bit and you might end up loving her quirky personality..... won't hurt....2 dates is nothing.... wiser
I can't understand how someone in their mid to late 20's can get into watching cartoons or movies geared towards children. To each his own, I guess. Link to comment

wiser
I dunno. It would be cool if she dug Southpark. Southpark is an exception because it's based on more complex ideas and is geared more towards adults even though on the surface it appears to be a children's show. Link to comment

wiser
I'm not familiar with "Family Guy" but if its geared toward adults then it makes sense that an adult would like it. OP, what cartoon was your friend watching? If it was "roadrunner" then you still have a problem. Link to comment
browneyedgirl36
Ummmm....."Family Guy" is not a cartoon for kids -- it's definitely geared toward adults. While it's not nearly as vulgar as "Southpark," it's definitely not for kids. If I had small kids, there's no way I'd let them watch it. And, I have to admit, I'm watching it now -- and I'm 37. I guess I'm "weird." I'm also a college professor with an advanced degree . You're entitled to your personal preferences, of course, but to me, a grown person enjoying cartoons isn't a sign of immaturity, necessarily. Lots of grown people like "kid" things -- amusement parks, video games, etc. A lot of these things are just, well, fun...and fun tends to transcend "age limits," etc. After all, roller coasters have signs at their entrances that read "You must be AT LEAST this tall in order to ride" -- not "You must be LESS than this tall in order to ride." But, if you aren't feeling it, you aren't feeling it, and you should definitely stop seeing her. I'm sure someone else will appreciate her goofiness, and you'll find someone you think is less goofy. I will stay positive Indoor Friend....LOL. I dated a girl like this before. She was pretty damn hot, had similar personality traits, but she was goofy to the point that it was really strange. She was ALWAYS talking in some cartoon voice, ALWAYS cracking dumb jokes, etc. I didn't think it was possible for her to have a serious conversation. I gave it a shot, but she really got under my skin. Turned out to be a gold-digger in the long run. Didn't see that coming. Dumped her. Link to comment

MissIndigo
I'm 31 and I bloody love animation. I'll check out anything...and if it's too juvenile for me, just stop watching. By chance was this girl into anime? Just curious, because I do know of some girls into their 20's who take that genre way way too seriously and put forth the persona of some of their favorite characters in the public domain. It's his loss and I don't see anything wrong to keep a young heart. But, should I grow up a little bit in order to get a man? Link to comment
